It just so happens that our official date to pack up and move out of the house is June 1st - meaning all our camping equipment will be shoved in boxes and stacked in some storage facility...
This creates a MAJOR problem since I'm technically going to Bonnaroo against my parent's wishes (except that they don't know at all about it). So um... I dunno what to do... help me...
Pack all the camping gear yourself into a box or two and label it so you can easily pull it out. And if that doesn't work just give your parents the finger and run away.

Well, I figured out the camping situation, and I just told them that I was supposed to go camping with a friend on the weekend of Bonnaroo - they said "that's fine" and so I guess that's not a problem...
but! Another arises with the whole "moving across country" thing. See, we'll be DRIVING the four thousand miles and they're looking to get an SUV to haul our camper. And they want to trade my car in to get it. This woudln't be a big deal if they were trading my car after Roo, but no, they want to do it more than 30 days of our move to assure the SUV's durability. Ultimately meaning I, along with 2 of my friends, may or may not have a way to get to Tennessee this summer.

4000 miles?!? That seems like way too much time to be hanging out with one's parents in such a confined space. Where are you guys going to be driving from?? To Bonnaroo, that is...

Wouldnt be a bad ride from maryland i dont think... Im definately glad i dont have to take any busses so far this summer... I might get stuck on a train for 10klakes but those things are way more comfortable than a bus... Flying is just so damn expensive for me...
some of the best times are the ones that your parents dont know about...i always knew i just got done doing something great and worth while when i would first see my mom and hear her shrill voice squeel "Amber Lynn"
I'm having a hard time trying to understand the situation....how old are you again? Are you moving to Anchorage WITH your parents? Because there comes a point in ones life where your parents whether they like it or not cannot STOP you from going anywhere. I mean what could they possibly do.....I think I remember you saying you were a Senior so.....you 18....you went to a kick ass festival and had the time of your life. How can they not let you go/or punish you for something like that.
