It was weird, most people just thought I got a haircut or something, the missing beard didn't occur to people, I think the same thing happened when I did the same thing a few years ago. I almost decided to just keep the cheezy porn star mustache for a day, but after a couple of hours at home, I had to shave it off, I would have felt way to freaking silly, and for some reason just the stache was way more annoying than the whole beard-mustache combo. I am now really liking that it is way easier to blow my nose.
The last time I completely shaved my face was... geez.. I actually didn't even think about how long its been until I got that far into the sentence.. 2002.
At this point, seeing myself without facial hair would just be really weird, so I'm not planning on doing it anytime soon.
Warning to the young ones: I tried shaving my beard off after years in place and found that I had developed dog-like jowls in the meantime. Grew it back as fast as I could...

Consider me part of the beard club. I grew a goatee my junior year of high school, then the full beard sophomore year of college, so me and facial hair are well acquainted.
So, getting back to mugs, here's me, tight-jawed, jamming with some friends. It's a recent photo, although not too recent because I have cut my hair short (the beard is constant, but the hair does fluctuate). Also, note the 'roo shirt.

WOW. I'm in the same-ish boat. I have been considering shaving off a 15 year goat-fro. My concern is having a fat shiny face left underneath like the doggy jowls noted above(karma-btw) !
My solution is going to be shaving down the head instead-not shiny, just fuzzy. That way, I can sport stocking caps without getting badass hathead, but still remain warm, and not fatfaced jowly-shiny !!
If I were more adept at the picture osting, much of this would become painfully clear....
Oh the woes of winter boredom and self-effacing vanity !!!!
