Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Sitting here at my desk inforooing and peeking over my shoulder for the boss lady...planning on working through lunch tomorrow and Wednesday and cutting out Wednesday at 3, this way we can go over our stuff and make sure we are ready for the trip (SOMEBODY will leave town without the damm tickets, let it not be us )...we will probably hit the road no later than 6 PM, then make our way down I-81 500 miles to Knoxville, then I-75 to I-24 to the long line of people ahead of us waiting to get in. Yahoo says it will take 11 hours but we will probably lose 1 - 2 hours stopping to stretch our legs, so I expect us to be in the neighborhood by around 8 AM Thursday. Park, lug our crap to Tent Only (a possible two-trip experience), set up and then - well, it's our first roo, so not sure. Figure it'll be late morning by then, possibly later, so Centeroo will be open (am I correct about this?), so it will really be up to, do we feel like resting or will we bo so wired that we are just ready to start exploring and meeting people?
The kit includes: 1 bag of personal stuff; 1 bag of camping stuff (to cook out); one bag of food; one bag of clothes; one sleeping tent; 1 shade tent; 1 camp table; 2 camp chairs; 1 really large, wheeled ice chest loaded with water and perishables; possibly a smaller cooler loaded with drinks to be transferred to the larger cooler as room frees up. Possibly a wagon to help lug all this...stuff. We are bringing instant grits and instant coffee so all we have to do for breakfats is bil water; we will pre-cook different kinds of rice, and different kinds of meat, so we can stir fry them together quickly for dinner; we will probably buy lunch on the grounds and sample some other stuff for snacks. We also got our first pairs of Crocs and wore them all day yesterday to get the feel.
And of course we will forget SOMETHING...we always do.

Big bummer at work for me, but not all bad. I have been suspended from my job, but am welcomed back the day after roo (damn internal spies). can i be an honorary wook (without the theft, fake drugs, and nastiness) and come by occasionally for a beer and a bowl? i almost cancelled , but i have a ride and gas money, but am afraid of being sober, thirsty and foodless. I hate being a bum, last year i spent 1500 with nothing left to show, and just want to go this year with a little buzz and a thingyload of bands. I once again hate to beg, but have thought of nothing else since februrary.

So sorry you got suspended (til after the roo? that makes it sort of funny in a look-back-on-this-smoeday sort of way)...
OK so wifey went to WalMart and came back with this ginormous garden wagon thingy, weighs a frickin ton but could haul my entire family of me, wife and all 5 kids according to the weight load parameters, not a whole lot bigger than a wagon (I think, haven't set it up yet) but now maybe we can get from parking to tent-only in one trip? Maybe?
I dunno, we now have 5 stuff bags: personal; cooking; towels and camp extras (fan, lamp); clothes, food...yeesh. And of course 2 tents, 2 chairs and a table. So I think I can arrange the tent stuff on bottom, bags on top for the haul, wife will log the rollocooler, which itself is big enough to stuff a corpse in.
We will be the ones marking the four corners of our site with stuff bags to make sure we have room enough to set up those two tents.
Walt and Des from Harrisburg PA, happy to meet ya's, hope to be flinging gear at ground zero by late morning Thursday, then taking that real good advice and checking out the Centeroo activities before the crowds get crazy...
"Chicago is known as the Windy City, and Montana is called the Big Sky State, so I think that we should somehow combine the two to create the ultimate kite-flying experience. "-Mitch Hedberg
Assembled the ginormous "garden utility cart" last night and plopped all the tents, tables, chairs and stuff bags on top, bungeed 'em down and went wheelin' around....hafta give props to me wife for hookin us up with this thing, it handles the load easy and pulls real smooth, even over bumpy grass...if you see us in Tent Only, come check out this 'roided up wagon, maybe Ill even give ya a ride

All I can say is that my life is pretty plain I like watchin' the puddles gather rain And all I can do is just pour some tea for two And speak my point of view But it's not sane, It's not sane
I just want some one to say to me I'll always be there when you wake

I may actually be more useless now than I was the days before 'Roo. Now all I do is sit and wish I was still in Manchester. I finish up work here on the 30th, so between that and my reminiscing of the past week, the idea of doing work is about as far from my mind as possible.
