Its kinda conceited, but its also pretty much stating a fact. I also admit that year when everyone flipped cars and tore down goalposts and lit fires OSU fans didnt handle in a way that i'd to be represented, and i think it was a big place. And i've never heard anyone refer to it as The OSU, are you sure you arent confusing it with The U? I think someones just a little cranky from getting spanked by OSU the past couple of years.

naw, The U is Miami, right? I have never heard anyone say "Ohio State" who went there or is a fan of their athletics. they always say "THE Ohio State University"

I see what your saying fordgoose, it isnt like the u though(miami). I the only time i say the is the u, i rarely actually say ohio state university though, id feel like an ass using "the". ;D

seiously dude?!?!?!?!?!?!?! i cant beleive you have never heard that. they have called it that for decades. all buckeye players say the ohio state university. with a heavy emphasis on "THE"
i think everyone is conceited about thier sports team. well except us lion fans. we know that we suck. unfortunatly being a lions fan is genetic or something.. its not a choice anyone would actually make.

I am genetically a Packers fan from central IL - now I live in Chicago where I am catching just a little grief about the Bears. Good thing Favre is coming back next year to continue to dominate da bears.
and hey.... there is always next year. i think millen has got us on the right path to get there. im calling it now. no doubt about it. we will be the worst team in football next year!!! the raiders cant hang. not 2 years in a row.

well Aaron Brooks is out for good now, so the Raiders have to win.
okay, it's 4:17 a.m. and I am going to ramble now. and correct my spelling a lot. when people ask me why I am a vegetarian I end up abandoning my true beliefs and telling them that it is mainly based on health reasons. while that is true, it is also based on political reasons, such as killing the rain forest to raise South American cattle, and abandoning growing grains and rice which could feed hundreds if not thousands of people for a long period of time. but when I explain those things, most people zone out and lose interest in what I am saying. Has anyone else experienced this, or is this isolated to me? please le t me know...this is my drunken ramble/rant for this week.
i had a similar conversation on here a few weeks ago. some people were making anti hunter comments. i tried to defend the hunters and show that mega farms are whats cruel and mean, and that hunters play a vital role in this messed up world we created.. i took quite a karma hit for that one. i raised all the points you have. i beleive the estimate is 51 pounds of grain to feed a cow for every pound of beef we get. not to mention that it takes far more water to raise animals then it does to grow crops. and to further the problem the animals then pollute even more fresh water. but good luck man.. most people seem happy to ignore the cruelties of mega-farming in the name of convienence. i eat meat but i buy mine from amish people and small farms(usually, i do eat at restaurants occasionaly). but i live in an area where thats easy. and i wasnt even against eating meat. just how horribly they treat the animals and how unhealthy all the crap they give the animals is for us.
maybe a system like canada has for cigarettes. put up videos in the mcdonalds line showing the filthy nasty conditons, and the cruel treament of the deformed animals. i doubt people would want it if they saw the life of that chicken nugget or burger. that cow lived a hell on earth existence. was tortured and cut up alive. a deer is shot and dies 15 seconds later. and thats not eve mentioning the steroids, antibiotics and hormones that farm animals have that wild game dosent. but thats all i got to say about that.
im gonna go get drunk and ill be back to ramble abot happier things

I just got done pumping out a couple of album reviews -- one being a week past due. I took on a little side gig (no pay of course) doing a handful every month or two for a website that may or may not be mentioned in my signature. Whenever my girlfriend's home I can't bring myself to get knee deep in an album, so I have to wait until she's gone -- like the past few hours. Plus, I like to have a few (or more) drinks to get in the zone, which leaves me hesitant during the work week. It makes for some difficulties with deadlines. My writing was once pretty sharp, but now I feel like I'm working my way up from the bottom of a pit. It's brutal when you see something you wrote printed and know it needs editing. Oh well. If I didn't love doing it, I wouldn't bother. Plus...a small pile of free cds every couple of months.

What albums did you get done aquarium? Also, who else thinks that SNL is starting to come back around. I really like the cast, and the digital shorts are almost always good. Also, the guest have been doing a really good job. Its just good to see SNL living up to its history again, i think.
Did the Broken West's album and the new Twilight Singers ep.
As for SNL, I can definitely say that there's more material on there drawing me in now, than there has been for the last two to three years. While I don't think it's living up to the wonderful stuff from the past, it's nice to no longer feel embarassed (or at least less often) for the people on the show.

From now on instead of saying "Booyah" when i'm excited (like when I kick my gf's ass at Yahtzee, for instance), I'm going to start screaming "OMAROSA"! It's classier.
me and my friends were watching pulp fiction tonight..it's my favorite movie and they had never seen it before (gasp i know)
well we were in our apartment's cinema room and this really drunk guy comes in there sits down and decides to comment on every thing that was happening in the movie! he kept cracking up at everything that was going on and eventually he fell out of his chair. then he pointed his fingers at us and pretended to shoot us shouting 'I AM THE LORD!' it was funny/annoying. finally he left when we told him the cops were on the way here for all of the killing going on. i hope he didn't die from alochol poisoning or something. :/
ya i thin all the drunks are still in the superbowl and prince threads. i put my beer on the front porch and forgot about it and it froze before the game. so i was drunk near halftime then ran out. but now its thawing and im getting my buzz back. damn cold weather. our hihg today was -1 and were sposed to get like 6 inches of snow. in addition to the 2 feet already on the friggin ground i hate winter!!!!!!

I'm sitting here, VERY drunk with my dogs practically begging me to take them for a walk. I'm listening to "A Manual Dexterity" by Omar Alfredo Rodriguez Lopez, The Mars Volta's amazing guitarist/songwriter/producer. When this song ("The Palpitations Form A Limit") ends, i'm going to tske them over to the front of a nearby nursing home and let them do what thay do! Very exciting, I know.
....200 posts!...OMAROSA! ;D
