I'll try to keep this short. Last night was my buddy's b'day so we went out and had a drink or 15. when we came home my neighbor, whom I hadn't yet met, was just getting home from work and was trying to get into her apt. but was locked out, so we talked for a little bit unitl her roommate finally let her in. tonight she came over and invited me to go to a bar with her and her roommate and another friend. while we were playing scrabble at the bar the topic of music came up and I was telling them about 'roo. the people at the table next to us overheard and said they too were also going to 'roo this year. I love how 'roo is a conversation starter and/or icebreaker. it is great how you randomly run across other 'rooers!

I was trying to walk my dogs today when Madison (6 yr old, 90 lb boxer/pit mix) just leaped (from a pee stance) into traffic. I jerked her leash as hard as I could (i've recently thrown-out my back), causing her to do a mid-air backflip onto her head (and sidewalk). I love my dogs and would never do anything so rough to either of them but, if I hadn't, she would have been hit by a Mercedes (i'm talking inches!). As it was, the car had to run-up on the curb to avoid her, so I had no other choice . Thankfully the Lady driving the car was more concerned about Madison than her car and didn't give me any sh*t about it (thank you lady) but, unfortunatly/instinctively, I had let go of Yoko's (1 1/2 yr old Boston Terrier)leash while trying to save Madison. Maybe because of the screeching tires or maybe because of my deep guttural screams, Yoko just took the f*ck off down the street and disappeared around the corner (3rd & Juniper for all of you ATLiens). Madison was hurt and freaked-out so she just froze in her tracks, so I had to drag her big, stiff ass to a tree (very, very heavy) and tie-her-up while I went to find Yoko. Thankfully Yoko was still around the corner, taking a dump next to the near-by nursing home and was quite easy to catch. After getting back to the tree where I had tied-up Madison, she was still pretty uncooperative and just barked and growled at me. I spent about half-an-hour trying to calm her down, so that I could get her back inside our apartment. Finally, I had to pick her (90 lb ass) up and carry her (f*cked-up back) inside. Considering that I had one very frightened dog (Yoko) to lead-in and one very scared and muddy dog (Madison) to carry-in, I'm still surprised that I was able to pull-it-off! It took about an hour beforer Madison was calm enough to let me bathe all of the fresh mulch and mud off of her, so I was starting to get kind of worried. While I was bathing her (something she normally hates and fights to get out of), she just put her paw on the side of the tub and burried her face under my chin. It was really pitiful but, I'm so glad that she's okay. That's my story for today.

wow oatmeal, that is wild! I used to have a dog that was mostly beagle with maybe a little lab in her. my biggest fear with that pup was if/when she ever got off her leash or out the back door (no fence), she would run and run forever. luckily I lived in a cul-de-sac then and not around busy streets. I'm glad both your dogs are fine and that the lady in the car was nice and concerned for your dog; that's probably not the typical reaction from people in a big city - no matter which city.
when i was growing up we had this one cat that literally had nine lives...she stayed outside most of the time (we lived in the country) and one time fought off a pack of coyotes all by herself and only got a broken tail...and she used to crawl under my dad's truck hood and sleep. he'd make it all the way to work (20 mins away) and then she'd jump out and be like "lets go to work pops" he was always having to call my mom to come and get her....she had like 500 litters too...pokpok cat...the cat had the litters, not my mom....

Why do girls insist on being difficult. Every chic I meet and try to be friends with, they all have the same damn problem. They're shallow and superficial and they don't give a sh!t about you or anybody else other than themselves. Oh they'll pretend, and act like they're not that way, but alas, you will come to find out that, in the end, they're all the same. At least in this area. I guess I need to move. I really don't think that'd make a difference though. I guess I need to buy some polo shirts and flip up the collar

I had MANY similar experiences before I met the best, nicest, most reasonable, down-to-earth girl in the world! I thank god everyday that I found a woman as special as Hilari! She doesn't ever get caught-up in bullsh*t "adult" drama, juvenile game-playing or anything that most guys associate with being in a relationship. I am truly one of the luckiest men that I have ever met! I love you Hilari!

From the description of your location the latter sounds more likely.
So I guess Ohio is the place to be then. Downingtown's not so bad. Victory Brewery is here. And that's about it. I just wish there were some reasonable females around here that weren't already in a relationship. Oh well. I still have plenty of liquor left, so that's good news.

Columbus isnt that bad, just because its so diversly populated. I definatly wouldnt go lady shopping in ohio either though. I went to school somewhere very preppy, and never really had any girls who were friends, probably about 5, and one is my girlfriend. It can be frustrating, but how many good friends do you come by at all, guy or girl.
This is true. But all my guy friends are the same friends from hike school. They've been there forever, and they will continue to be there, until they get married But seriously, why do girls say that all they want is a nice guy. That's a bold faced lie. They don't want that sh!t. They want a square jaw. They want the dude that lies to them. They want anything and everything other than the nice guy. Nice guys finish last, and that's god's honest truth.

My girlfriend tells me a bunch of storys about all her friends and the like, and i cant even believe how strange their thought process is, real head-scratchers. Maybe girls really are from venus... No offense ladys, but a lot of younger ones can be a little silly, not saying men arent though.

We all suck! That's why if you are lucky enough to find someone that doesn't mind or just sucks in the same way you do, you should count your blessings!

I think thats something a lot of women lack, humbleness. They all talk about each other behind each others back and gossip, pretty self rightious if you ask me. Shazam! Thats why im on here gossiping about women. ;D
