You've all heard the theory that everyone is either a "Beatles" person or an "Elvis" person, right? Well, I think that i've found a more insightful test for defining the type of person you are:
for the gents: G.I Joe or He-Man?
for the ladies: Barbie or Gem?
(feel free to mix/cross genders, they're only guidelines)
As for me? Two words: YO JOE!!!!!!!!

honestly i gotta go with he-man. my friend had that awesome air craft carrier from gi joe. but i had castle grey skull. and we would have wars and argue about which was better. so im biased.
and thats for toys. for cartoons its the turtles all the way
dude, I had Castle Greyskull and Mt Doom...but I agree, Turtle power was even better....my sister, for the record, liked Jem and the Rockers better than Barbie

I had that aircraft carrier too! Ihad to get a smaller bed so that it would fit into bedroom. I'm a Joe man all the way, but that f*cker was just too damn big to play with>
gem was a cartoon - she had a rock band and was way cooler than barbie! i still have a gem beach towel from the 80's that's practically in rags, but I would never let my mom throw away ;D
wow i looked up jem and my cable system must not have carried it. i have never seen that in my life. not the toys or the cartoon. i wonder how that happened.

Jem is TRULY outrageous! i wish i still had my jem sleeping bag, i'd rock it at roo for sure. (even though probably only half of me would fit in it now haha)

mount doom hmmmm not for sure but the only thing I can think of is there was this game that was an actual toy mountain and u had to move your game peice up the mountain and disaster would strike (slime falling down, tumbling rocks ect) not for sure if that was mount doom.....but it looked about as much fun as Mr Gameshow......that game rocked
I loved watching WWF Superstars on Saturday mornings. I still have my box of WWF toys to this day (the bigger rubber ones, not the later plastic ones).

Some of the older ones are worth a decent amount of money....I still have a few of them myself (none of the valuable ones though).

I only had a couple he-man and a couple g.i joes. I was always playing with LEGOs and I could never stand to take anything apart that I had created - I guess that is why my degree is in engineering and I work for a construction company now. call me a nerd if you like, but that's me.
