Ok.. i have been wondering what these little titles mean, the ones located right beneath your user name. I noticed i was spotless and i suddenly changed to a fountain wader. im imagining it has something to do with the number of posts you have.
so swamp butt means you prolly have one from sitting around online all the time. (which i am probably on my way to becoming one...)
alot of first time rooers go and run around in the big mushroom fountain at roo. its not the cleanest of water. the more posts you get your title will change in regards to how dirty you would be at roo as time goes by.
if you want to do it id advise that you do it as early as possible on thursday. it gets pretty nasty pretty quick. and dont do it with your map in your pocket. i learned that one the hard way on my first night at roo. partied too hard. trashed my map, and a friend and i ended up walking in circles for hours and sleeping in a field. good times! ;D thats one thing that i miss. now i only get lost for small amounts of time. i dont think i could get truly lost at roo anymore.
i'll play devil's advocate here yes, the fountain water is dirty. it is most definitely brown colored. now, if sweating your ass off for 4 days on a TN farm is something people can handle, i don't get the fountain-water-skeeve thing. personally, the level to which running through the fountain kept me cool and allowed me to stay in centeroo longer to see more shows without needing to break/lay down was well worth any additional filth i may have picked up.
let's not forget that water is coming down with some force, and its just falling off you. just keep your eyes shut, your mouth closed, and don't hang out for like an hour underneath ;D

The fountain water is well water and the pump occasionally stirs up silt. The brown in the water is this silt. (fine sandy dirt. The pump has a filter so its not mud, just fine sand.) I was there once when the pump completely clogged with silt and shut down. When it restarted the water was really dirty.
I have absolutely no problem with the fountain. I treat it like a swimming pools (as I'm sure people do what they do in swimming pools.) It is not chlorinated so I wouldn't drink it but washing/cooling off should be fine.

ahhh ok. well im arriving friday. and you can be sure that as long as the water is cold, or even cool, or just plain ol wet i will be shaking my tail under this fountain.
so i guess "fountain wader" really is an appropriate title at this point in time.

ya even if they had showers i wouldnt use them. just cause they are there dosent mean there is time to waste showering. if your not stinky at roo your doing something wrong.

I'm so happy that you posted this because I was getting ready to. I'm sad to see myself spotless when I know i'll be nice and dirty come June haha. I guess I'll have to keep posting away! thanks again msfelithatsme!
