athens is in the middle of nowhere, but there is tons of amazing scenery not far away, not quite the rockies (i guess its kinda the start of the appalatians?), and no debt is key, but CO would probably be the nuts. but alot of people think ou is the nuts too.
i say flip a coin
a lot of people also think Britney SPears is the sh!t....that being said, hit up COlorado. It would be great to have a friend there, the Rockies are the best thing to happen to this earth since sliced bread and if you can pay off the debt without it seriously fu(kin your life up then I say you go for it.
i talked to the grad coordinator at ohio this morning and they are giving me a little more time based on i might drive up this weekend to check out the town. i'll let yall know whats up, thanks for the input so far, this is a fun/hard decision.
we went to ohio to visit, but didn't quite make it. We ended up going to Asheville North Carolina and hangin out some then heading into the mountains for some contemplation.
From everything I've read here, you made the right decision. Student loan debt is really the most preferred kind of debt there is. It's an investment in you. No matter how much money you'd save going to Ohio, you'd be doing something you really don't want to do and passing on something that seems like a perfect fit. You'll live through it all and being where you want to be, amongst folks you want to be with, will make it all the more tolerable.
lol. i love how the trip got side tracked. thats probably the best way to make the decision. its all about being happy. and true happiness isnt tied to money. infact i think focusing on money will only lead to unhappiness. bet wishes man! and now there will be one more person living in colorado for me to be jealous of.
thanx all, i'm sure this is the right decision. I haven't heard back from the University of Oregon yet, maybe they will offer me a free ride like Ohio did I've always been dirt poor, never worried much about money and material things. > At least I won't be going into debt for say, a new lexus or hummer I will say I'm going to miss the ethnic diversity of the dirty south, and the hot, humid, seemingly year round summer. I've never been in snow before, so next winter is gonna be a trip fo sho.
