okay i consider myself a south park afficionado. this season is a trillion times better than last season, but nowhere near as good as seasons 5-8. i didn't much care at all for the 24 episode but besides that i say this season is on par with 4 looking to be better than it. i wish they'd realize they don't have to make fun of pop-culture. the best south park episodes have just been about the kids bein kids. but yeah, i've been waiting for this thread to happen. karma when i get the abbility

haha, it wasn't bad. in the season 9 dvd in the butters killing himself-girls having the future telling device epsiode commentary they said they should start reducing the amount of stories/jokes in an episode and strt conserving them. i honestly think they've done that. the episodes are still halarious and by far the best cartoon on tv but imagine how much more funny they'd be if there were more jokes in them. ahhh i love south park
I love it too, and I laugh quite loudly at every episode.....BUT.....I'm kinda getting tired of every episode, or a large part of the episode being a parody of a movie. It's still funny as hell, but you know.

^yeah they don't need to do that every episode i agree. they started in season 9 and continued in season 10 (i hate season ten mroe than season 1) and they're doing it now. but for soem reason i'm less mad at it this season than i was the last season

Have any of you read the rolling stone interview from a week or two ago? They said they dont turn the episode in until that day and they usually dont make it until then. Crazy

*edit* karma given
I agree that i personally prefer the episodes that are just made to be funny far far above the satire ones. Although one of my favorite episodes is the Oprah one.
I have more respect for the past two seasons than any of the previous ones. Before the Scientology episode, it was a funny and intelligent show, but light in the message. With the outrage they caused, they began to realize that they could make a difference in the minds of the public by simply being candid and honest about the f*cked-up things happening in the world today.
Paired with the Daily Show, South Park is seemingly becoming the voice of reason in today's culture.
Scientology. Global Warming. Terry Schiavo (sp?). Etc. What is next? Bush?
"All in all, the creative act is not performed by the artist alone.. the spectator brings the work in contact with the external world by deciphering and interpreting its inner qualifications and thus adds his contribution to the creative act." -- Marcel Duchamp
it was funny. Mr Garrison to a Gay Mr Garrison to a Mrs. Garrison, to a Gay Mrs. Janet Garrison. Now that ladies and gentleman is character development.
anyhow, i like the theme of this season, Ridicolous Movie Spoofs. Its fun to have a theme.
I love SP, and this past weeks episode was really good, predictable, but good. I absofuckinlutley hated the Easter episode. I found nothing funny about it, one of my least favourite episodes ever.

I think both the easter episode and the lesbo garrison/300 episode had a few good spots but overall was same ole same ole. Gotta love some scissor loving though.
I thought the Easter episode was pure comic genius. The last one was OK, but it just seemed like I had seen it before or something, nothing new or fresh, even though it was a new episode. But I will say that this is the best season in a few years, they are getting back to their roots.
