I bought 3 John Gould bird lithographs at a yard sale for $5 each. the lady said they were from England from the 1830's but she thought they were copies. Well, they are originals from the birds of Europe folio. there was only 200 made and these have been hand colored. I had them appraised and one is worth $4,500 and the other 2 are worth $3,500 each. Not a bad $15 investment, huh? I spent over $500 getting them framed and matted and they hang in my living room.
im not sure how rare or valuable this is but i have a Grateful Dead cover album done by a Russian Orchestra called Symphonic Dead. My aunt who knows some people gave it to me as part of a christmas present a few years ago and I really like it. Ive never met anybody else that has heard it so Im pretty sure its somewhat valuable.
