WHOA today is exciting at my work... so, as you may know, i work front desk at a hotel. People are always being pulled over in my parking lot, because we're right near the station. Today, oh, about an hour and a half ago, a very nice gentleman in a harley jacket came to check in. We chatted the usual small talk and he mentioned someone was being arrested in the parking lot. About 10 minutes after i checked him in, he left. about ten minutes after that, the police came in looking for him. Apparently he's wanted for armed robbery... one that i'm guessing just happened, cuz now the cops are staking out my hotel. Like, seriously. There's one hiding just around the corner next to the front desk, one at the side entrance, and i don't know where the other one is. Oh, and the SWAT team is on the way and i've been instructed to keep all my staff off the first floor (except of course, ME, cuz i have to be behind the desk at all times). I'm talkin like, they had me draw a diagram of the way the room he's in is set up, so that they know how to bust in. WHOA.
that is one of the craziest things ive ever heard. i like the whole "yeah, they are arresting someone out there... huh" conversation you had.

update: i think the swat team has arrived. Another cop showed up and they *gulp* asked me to evacuate the first floor from all employees AND GUESTS. Yeah. so it's just me and the cops. It's so quiet too, they're all whispering and stuff. i only have another 20 minutes on my shift and i'm questioning the safety of my ride picking me up now. so i have all these maintenance and housekeeping people unable to work, huddled in a room on the 2nd floor... my manager is OF COURSE away in FL at a conference.

the thing i don't understand is... i'm pretty sure he's not in the room, and unless he's retarded, he's not gonna come in with 3 cop cars in the front parking lot and a swat team out back.

^^agreed, too much Clue Goo for Hoodoo. We could actually re-name the "Clues on Radio Roo", the "Noob Speculation Thread" considering that is pretty much who has taken it over.
