Funny, cause I was gonna say Stairway to Heaven before I saw the poll.
I love Led Zeppelin, for the record, but Stairway has got to be one of the worst songs they wrote in my opinion. I hate how a lot of people say they love Led Zeppelin but then can't name any songs besides Stairway.
I used to like Sweet Home Alabama until it became the theme to KENTUCKY fried chicken commercials. Did anyone else find this irritating? So I don't know if I should really be taking out my dislike toward KFC but I can't help it, I don't like the song anymore.

Ever notice how a bands biggest radio hits never seem to capture the sound of the band at all. Examples...Radiohead-Creep, Grateful Dead-Casey Jones, Pink Floyd-Money, Bob Marley-I Shot The Sheriff, I could go on and on.

Seconded. I am still baffeled as to why that song is so popular. To me it's just a big joke that gets less funny every time they play it on the radio.
I almost went w/ Sweet Home Alabama, but I'll give it a pass since it preserves the history of the feud between Neil Young and Skynard. And for the record "Southern Man" kicks Sweet Home Alabama's ass!

Dan the man, I completely agree! It just grinds at my nerves, and now Chevy is using it in thier commercials and are letting people, who CAN NOT SING, sing the damn thing...

Ya know, I would just love to say you guys s u x for voting for SH Alabama.....but if I didn't have the memory of it being played as UAH skated around Bemidji State's hockey team after winning the NCAA Division II Hockey - yeah that's right I said HOCKEY - championship for the 2nd time....I might feel the same way about the damn song!

LOL - yeah, that is lame...but then I thought it was pretty bad when "Start Me Up" became the Microsoft theme song too....I don't think there is anything that is beyond capitalism anymore.... sad, sad, sad....

Does anyone else thing Yellow Submarine should atleast be on this list, not necessarily with the most votes but I definitely think it's more overrated than Imagine
ehh i can't really say i think yellow submarine is very rated, if that makes sense...
i know stoners love the movie, and beatles fans, but the random person on the street if you ask them a beatles song i think would say... wanna hold your hand or some other early beatles shit

perhaps. I just get irritated by mainly this one girl I work with who claims to be a Beatles fan but all she does is hum Yellow Submarine all day. Ruined a song for me.
