I've spilled some plain Greek yogurt in my car. Know what plain Greek yogurt permeating a tight space smells like?
Not familiar with that particular oder, but I did spill a friend's homemade gumbo in my car one night years ago. 'Twas a cold winter night, and I thought I got it all. When the weather began to warm I definitely could tell I missed some of the gumbo...
So sorry, Cindy ... I know the feeling. Lost my dog of 11 years a couple of years ago, and my 14 year old cat that I've had over half my life has had multiple health issues this year, she's not much longer for this world. The value of a pet can not be underestimated.
Oh Druid!! So very sorry. We know that with you, your little man had the best life possible.
Start the crying jar... Buck for each hysterical cry, 50 cents each weepy jag, quarter for a few tears.. Then reverse as you can think back with happy thoughts. When you reach your happy dollar go to the rescue league with your jar and bring home a new family member or donate the $ to a great kitty cause.
Zen... #2 - Source of strength or source of stress. If its the latter, Cut them out!! Good for you! There are far too many good people in the world to surround yourself with!
Cindy, I'm crying for you. I never got the chance to meet little Apollo but always enjoyed your sharing of his photos and antics. I'm sure that his feline companion is devastated as well. Sending lots of love from Luna and myself.

Sorry about your kitty Druid. As I'm sure you know, time heals these things. I lost my beloved pooch, Luna, 4 months ago. Although based on the post above, I now suspect that that was an elaborate ruse and Zen stole him.

Cindy I am so sorry to hear about your little man. I know how hard it is to lose a furry loved one
I always enjoyed seeing your kitties on facebook. I hope you find comfort in the fact that you gave him lots of love and shared joy in his short time here.

Busted. I flew out there, stole him, flew back in time and changed him into a very sweet but mischievous cat this from someone who can barely keep a hula hoop spinning round me...lol

I just got into a shouting match with a telemarketer who had the bad luck to robocall me and then mock me when I told him that I was on the "do not call" list. It ended with me turning him into the FTC and him accusing me of making Terroristic Threats. Seriously? I can't even shoot a water gun straight.
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.

Damn! I just defriended someone on Facebook the other day for posting ridiculous messages about how Obama hates America and is just out to destroy the country. Why could I not have waited a few weeks so that I could see her posts tomorrow?
Columbia, SC is a true dead zone for music concerts... the only notable things we get around here are the most mainstream of the mainstream pop, rap, and country (Miley Cyrus, Soulja Boy, Kenny Chesney, etc), tired ass 90s radio rock (RHCP, Pearl Jam), the occasional mid scale legend (Merle Haggard, George Jones, George Clinton), and the rare Prince... aside from that, Columbia is over saturated by indie-folk and "dirty south" rappers, and these acts make up a majority of the club scene. We have a "punk" club that is an absolute mess of an establishment that every once in a blue moon gets an old act that was once somewhat relevant, or something really obscure... but it's mostly local Misfits cover bands and people trying to be the next Modest Mouse.
How, in the middle of all this, has an act like Pretty Lights been able to become something of a regular attraction here??? I just found out he has a show this Friday... somehow, I guess, they have become a popular semi-big arena and large club act... how can't we get more of these types of acts? Not this type of music, but this level of popularity? I know that the University has something to do with it with a band like that, but god, this town sucks...
Essentially, the reason for my bitching is... we have the resources, the venues, and I'm sure we have the demographic to be a decent concert town, but there's something not right. Bad booking? A history of poor turn out? If we can get Pretty Lights on a somewhat regular basis, why not for something else that's pretty popular on that level? I know he isn't one of a kind, that's for sure...

Still waiting on a deluxe package for the Avett Brothers last album. I preordered in August and was one of the first 500 to get it. It's now November 9th and I don't have it. Album came out on September 11th. Here's one thing I've posted to try and get this resolved but haven't been able to yet:
I have contacted customer service multiple times. 3 e-mails in the past 7 days and no response. And those are just in the past week...I've sent multiple e-mails trying to resolve this but keep getting form responses or no response at all. I'm supposed to be receiving a phone call about my order because they say my payment had an issue but nothing yet. I pre-ordered this in August and it was supposed to come out Sept 11th. Then I had to wait until October 1st. On October 1st it was back ordered until October 17th. On October 17th it was back ordered once again. It is now November 9th...which is a full 14 days after I was told that my deluxe package would ship overnight to me. I was one of the first 500 people to order this and now I'm probably the last to get it. Terrible, terrible experience.

It's MyPlayDirect which is an offshoot of Sony/BMG. The thing that frustrates me the most is that all of this could be resolved if I just had a semi-capable person get on the phone with me. But I have absolutely no number to reach them at and have been waiting for them to call me over a week now. I just got an e-mail response to my complaint a few days ago and it pretty much just told me "Sorry....someone will contact you at some point". So basically....nothing has changed.
The package got "backordered" multiple times with no explanation or notice. Then I was told they would overnight my package to me and after I didn't get it yet I checked the order status and they said something was wrong with the payment but I would never have known that if I didn't look myself. They didn't notify me or anything.
This is easily the worst customer service i've had to deal with.
