This is the real reason driving gloves exist, right? I'm about to go buy some.
I almost walked right into this bad boy in Florida - I noticed the red spikes right before my face went into its web. I had never seen a spiny orb weaver before, and I've seen a lot of spiders.
Reason #34965874305684365 that I am probably never going to Florida. Holy f*ck.

It's normally two weeks on crutches and a few months of PT. The amount of work is so extensive, it's crazy to think you're able to stand on it that day (or night, depending when your surgery is done). I mean, no one wants surgery! At least once you are fully recovered from surgery your pain will be gone!
So I've had a little time to cool off. Thanks for the feedback, it was such a shock. I still don't know if I'll do it but your info is reassuring. I've never dealt with crutches, can I drive?
As long as it isn't your driving foot.
Actually, my friend broke his driving foot and just drives with his other foot. Obviously, that isn't recommended.

Damn tooth broke tonight. So off to find a dentist who takes my insurance and will bill me...yeah...right. BUT at least it's half there so you can't see that it's more than half gone.

Oww, that sounds painful! Hope you find someone quick!

So my first interview was going great and then I pull out the map and ask her to give me directions to a certain building on campus. She froze up and and mumbled something about a street that is at least half a mile from either building and not on the way at all.
all I have to listen to at work is the radio. and for some reason every night the signal on the station that I listen to gets worse as the night progresses.

Ha. After I got my current job, they told me about one of the other applicants for the job. In short, she called at the time when her interview was supposed to start saying that she couldn't find the place. My office is set back off the road, so this isn't that surprising. One of my supervisors got on the phone with her to figure out where she was and to give her directions to the office. In the course of determining her location, the woman entered a panic and started crying saying she didn't know where she was and how they didn't want to hire her anyway because she was older and couldn't even find an office building. After 15 to 20 minutes, the woman said that she was giving up and going home. She apologized for wasting their time and abruptly hung up on them.

you didnt know masturbating directly affects radio signal? especially with as much static electricity you probably build up.

So I found a dentist who takes my insurance and has good reviews. I had an appointment scheduled with him yesterday. I was in this little office filling out paperwork when I hear him, in a very condescending voice say something like, "I need you to put this into the computer NOW!" She started to say something and he said, "I don't want to look at you, I don't want to hear you speak, I don't want to see you breathe. Just do it!" She said "Okay" and he said, "I said I DON'T WANT TO HEAR YOU SPEAK!" This is pretty much what he said, probably not exact but it was so mean that my whole body got really warm and I started to shake a little. I took a few breaths and went to the front desk. I said, "Excuse me, I'm done with my paper work and can I ask you a question?" I motioned for her to come closer. I said, "Was that the dentist speaking that way to a member of staff?" She stared into my eyes for a good 30 seconds and when tears started to well up in her eyes she said, "yes". I told her to tell the doctor because of the way he treats his staff I won't be doing business with him.
I went out to the car and made a facebook post, calling out the doctor and practice and then realized that she would probably get a tongue lashing if she was the one to relay why I left and I wanted to confront this guy as well. I went back in and asked to speak with the Dentist and she said it wasn't a good idea and he wouldn't come out to talk to me. She begged me not to put it on the internet, saying she had worked there for 10 years and it would harm all of them as they depended on that job and many new patients come from the internet. We spoke for probably ten minutes and I took down the post. I'm going to write him a letter directly. So, no tooth fixed and I feel incredibly sorry for those women working there. : /

That's terrible. I don't understand people who think it is okay to treat other people like that. I don't know if he takes your insurance, and he's way, way in South Knoxville, but I used to go to James Hazenfield. He's very nice and was willing to work with me on payments one time (although one of his daughters was one of my best friends growing up, so I can't say for certain that he's always willing to do that).

Good for you for taking a stand against that a-hole. Especially when it created more inconvenience for you having to wait on your tooth and go find someone new. Another example of what an awesome person you are, D. I love you!

General GRR's for the crap-ton of stress and upheaval in my life lately. Ongoing car issues, a wreck, a break-up, a sick pet, and vastly increasing responsibility I don't want at work. I know things have to get better eventually, but I'm really in the thick of it ATM.

I'm with you until you took the posting down. I'm glad you made a stand but nothing will change without people speaking out.
I'd be happy to drop an email or post to said office under the "a friend of mine went there for treatment" if you're interested.

Yeah, abrakapokus, I would have followed you right out the door too. That's nuts! Good for you to try and do something about that. He's like this dentist probably (psycho):
