Had an Uber passenger tonight argue with me about taking her to a second location for free, dump an entire Coke on my back seat when I said no, then report me for sexual harassment. My driver account is in review and I might be losing everything. Uber is paying for my school and I don't know what the fuck I'm gonna do if I end up deactivated.

Jesus Christ. I’m so sorry. Maybe get a friend, NOT YOU, to stalk her on her socials and see if she brags about it. Might get some proof she was lying. Wish you had a cam in your vehicle.

What an asshole. I hope that they are able to realize that she is a lunatic by her report.

I'm so terribly bored because apparently people took today off even though it's not a university holiday. But I have to stay in the office until at least 4:30 because reasons.
I miss working from home soooooooooooooooooo much.

I think you should look at BAFTA dresses and cat memes until it's time to go home.

It was dead here yesterday too. I'm hybrid now working 3/2 with two of the three in person days required to be Monday and Thursday. I simultaneously hate and love my Tuesdays in the office. I appreciate how quiet it is and the camaraderie between the few of us that are here, as well as I get annoyed at my VP for making me be here when no one else is.
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
It’s Mardi Gras Day, and I’m coming down with something. Covid test was negative, so it’s probably an infection, but I’m trying to muster up the strength to hit the streets for a couple hours at least. But there’s no chance of going hard. :crying:

I finally got my hybrid schedule approved but instead of working from home 3 days a week I work in a private office on campus. My days in the shared office space are M & F, which is annoying lol.

That is really annoying. I guess I should be happy the required Monday Thursday is not Monday Friday!

And if I take off a Monday or Friday for whatever reason I need to have a different day in the shared space. Yey.
Just copyin’ from my post on The Facebook, but I still feel it belongs here:
I found out a little while back that there's a growth on my thyroid and a few weeks after that I had a biopsy. Now, the biopsy wasn't conclusive, but the results weren't great either.
Fast forward to now, and on Monday afternoon I'll be goin' in to have my thyroid removed. Afterwards, it will be tested further to see if I possibly have thyroid cancer. Yay.
But, like I told my sister, "There's nothin' to worry 'bout, until there is." I've got enough on my plate with a baby on the way!
So, if everyone can just cross your fingers and toes, send your best vibes and what have you on Monday, that'd sure be swell!

A little more minor of a complaint than many in this thread, but I just started a new class, intro to Java programming, and the very first thing assigned, before any reading, was a "pre-course assessment". Ten questions, all about pretty specific terms, I got half of them right and felt pretty good about it. Turns out that shit was worth 5 percent of the grade for the whole class? And now no matter how well I do the rest of the semester, and how well I end up learning the material, I can't get an A+. Pretty fucked up imo

Also ridiculous for a pre-course assessment. Like, you are trying to judge how much I know and will learn here. Maybe just doing it earns you the full 5%? No way they are actually "grading" you on what you know before even taking an intro class, right?

Boooo! Appliance chaos out there! My oven quit working last night when I was in the middle of making a lasagna for a potluck tonight.
Are you packing for Big Ears? Cause that would really suck.
Oh no! That’s terrible timing!
Yes, I’m doing Friday at Big Ears, Saturday in Nashville for Julie’s grand opening, and Sunday in Bowling Green to see family, so I was doing pre-travel laundry. I’m staying tomorrow and Friday nights at my mom’s, so I’ll be taking my last load with me to wash at her house.
We had our first attempt at artificial insemination two weeks ago - wife's pregnancy test came back negative yesterday. Another tough day, her moreso than me because the doctor commented on how shitty my sample was. I forgot that at our first appointment, the doctor said depending on the quality of the sample the insemination could be off (even after all the hormone drugs, follicle measurement, self-administered shots, etc that my wife endured). Apparently the sample was right on the borderline and they decided to try. So I'm trying to view this as it was the worst sample I've given yet and can only get better (not true of course, but trying to keep my chin up), and that my wife did everything she was supposed to do, so it's my fault.
It did lead to a funny anecdote that I may share where my wife inadvertently insulted my penis.
after four attempts at IUI failed, we moved onto IVF. We harvested eggs at the end of September and produced 5 viable blastocytes or whatever. We did the implantation two weeks ago tomorrow. We knew this meant we'd take a pregnancy test Christmas eve or Christmas Day.
She took the test both mornings. Both were negative. We spent an hour in bed grieving each morning (first at sister in laws, then mother/father in laws).
It ruined our Christmas and our trip to the PNW. Hard to be merry right now.
I don't want to get ahead of myself but I may have reason to take this over to the Yay Thread soon...

finished with a B+ that would've been an A without that assignment 🙃
My oldest sister was at my house in Pensacola last weekend. She managed to try to dry 3 loads of sheets, blankets, placemats, throws, and pillow cases apparently on the way out and failed. Now all my sheets smell sour. I got home after 9 and even stayed up late to re-wash everything with vinegar in multiple, dissected loads and failed. Fuck. Damn. Now I gotta buy multiple beds worth of shit despite being broke. Wtf Pwnd and come on man. Don’t be so fucking lazy.
