grrrr - our AC just died - the only good thing is we have a home warranty but last time it took 4 days for us to get a service guy out - it was the hottest day of the year and tomorrow is not supposed to be any better
GRRR at my job. I was doing so well for a while because I had Bonnaroo to look forward to and get me through rough days. Now that I have nothing to look foward to for at least a month, my stress level is through the roof again. Luckily I'm going to the doc in two weeks, so he can up my dosage of medicine before I have a heart attack.

Went to have lunch with my Mom and run some errands on Long Island. Left a little later than I should have and drove 2 miles to the entrance ramp for the Expressway... TOOK 35 MINUTES TO GET THERE And NO ONE was moving on the ramp, NOR on the overpass above AT ALL, with 35 more miles to go on that road, at LEAST another 2 hours by the look of things, probably more, it just gets worse until you escape out of Queens, I'd be lucky to make it by dinner... I just turned around and came home and told my Mom sorry
Damn beautiful sunny Saturday freaking EVERYONE going to the stupid beach or mall, or just trying to escape the city for a few hours to have lunch with their Moms. Generally I really like it here, but sometimes I just feel so damn TRAPPED in this stupid place
what's worse - losing one of my favorite wine glasses that I had hand beaded the stem tonight (dropped and broke it) or losing the cabernet contained therein on a Sunday night? both GRRRs. and what law of physics is it that states that the total mass of a broken glass and the total volume of liquid contained therein is always greater than the intact glass? I slept through that lesson in physics class....

I ordered upgrades on mine and Josh's phones. They asked me if I wanted to use my previous address, and I said no and changed it to my new address. Turned out, that just changed my billing address, not my shipping address, and they sent the phones to Atlanta. I managed to intercept them before they got delivered (which is good because whoever lives in my old duplex probably would have just kept them), so they got returned to AT&T. I got an email this morning saying I could reprocess the order, so I called and sat on the phone forever while the guy put in my order again. The red phone I ordered is now out of stock, so Josh and I will have identical phones again, which is somewhat annoying. Finally get off the phone with the guy, and I check my bank account to see if my check card was charged. It was . . . for $50 more than it was charged when I placed the order the first time. Another 20 minutes on the phone with customer service, and it turns out that Nevada taxes you on the original price of the phone ($350) rather than the sale price of the phone ($10). So, before I was paying $21 for the upgrades, and now I'm paying $72 for them. Grrr.
i have been planning my ultimate dork trip to comic con since november 2009. my old roommate from college lives in san diego and she 100% has said all year i could stay with her. i finally buy my plane ticket last week and low and behold, she has to be out of town that weekend.
now, not only do i not get a refund on my comic con ticket, but i just found out that the cast of GLEE and fringe and supernatural (all shows i love) are going to be there.
in a way i know this is good, since i just got a 1200$ bill from the ER when i had a kidney stone, but i am still a very very sad panda.

I just got a replacement printer for work shipped in today. The old one would only print 1/2 a page but printed cds fine. Now the new one prints pages fine but only half a cd.

I have to wear a boot for four weeks! I made my sprained ankle worse by walking on it all week. Obviously walking on a sprained ankle is a bad idea....but how the hell do you stay off your feet with a newborn? I wonder if there is a cool way to bling this thing out. It is gray.

Ahhh - but if you don't do what they tell you - then you will end up like me - 3 ankle surgeries later - do what they tell you!!

grrrrrrrrr i am having the worst luck ever with concerts!
first i find out that the lady gaga concert i bought a ticket for (a YEAR away), i will be in washington dc visiting at the same time.
then i took another look at the ACL lineup and am a sad panda. my friend kate is getting married that saturday. i've done a wedding/ACL before, but obviously have to miss most of saturday. now i've seen that LCD, monsters of folk, MIA, deadmau5, matt and kim, local natives AND temper trap are on saturday. am i bad friend if i skip her wedding?? haha
and to top it off, i couldn't find anyone to go with me to the annual ghostland observatory show in july in new braunsfels. then i see some friends this weekend who ask me if i am going. well of course when i look at tickets, they are sold out and a bunch of non-music lovers are selling them on craigslist for THREE times the original value.

Not missing much

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
I'm having a bad time with concerts this year too. Two weeks ago I won two tickets from a local radio station to see Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers. None of my friends could go and when I went to leave, my car wouldn't start. I never made it to the concert:(
Anyways, my grr is that my high speed internet is going so slow that I can't get any work done. It's like I've got dial up. I seriously want to throw my computer out the window.

sell the Gaga ticket and buy one.
problems solved
\
what a good problem solver you are!
i just found a couple of tickets on ebay that aren't too high, so i'm hoping i can win one of those. i don't mind paying 10$ or so more than face value, but not 3x.
i have already put my gaga ticket on craigslist, but i just think it is so far away i won't be able to sell it till closer. most people i know here in san antonio didn't even know she was coming yet. i might try to get tickets to dallas or houston (i'm sorry, i do love her. i've always loved a big variety of music. ;D)
as for ACL, i honestly might rather be at the concerts than the wedding, but i don't think there is anyway i can skip it. it is a pledge sister who i've known for almost 10 yrs and she would be pretty pissed if she found out i played hookie to go to a show. bummer.
^^^ see - the way I see it - if she's known you for 10 years - she should know that you would rather be at a show than a stuffy wedding - even if it is hers. Are you actually IN the wedding?

^Idio, the same thing happened to me years ago. I had a massive tree fall on the front of my car. Just a few dents and scratches which ended up costing over $2500 to repair. Thankfully, "acts of God" are covered.

no, i'm not actually IN the wedding. she totally knows i'd rather be at ACL, she's said to me multiple times..."my wedding is ACL wknd." and "you know my wedding is that saturday right?". i've had to gently remind her that i can do both.
i might just compromise and show up late. i guess my logic should be that ACL is every year and kate only gets married (hopefully) once? haha

the insurance guy said "yeah, that's gonna add up fast"
i need a new trunk (mine was destroyed after all), hood, roof, and work on basically every side panel and the bumper.
Disturbed singing Land of Confusion............let's take a sh!tty song and make it worse shall we?
I actually like the Disturbed version - LOL - IMHO it's much better than the original (but I liked the original also) ok - there is my guilty pleasure out there for the world to know
