After thinking about it, I am pretty sure she did the txt message because she didn't want to breakdown and get emotional over the phone. We talked for quite a while on the phone last night and I was pretty sure this was going to happen anyways. It's not what I wanted, but that is life.
Thanks for all the support though, I really appreciate it.
JHammett - BOO. Im sorry that you had to get a text like that. Im with the other ladies sentiments - you deserve better. And it doesn't make it any less sucky, but we're here for you.
And: Why do people have to be dicks? Be nice. It's not hard. Be honest. That's a little harder, but WAY better than being a dick to good people. Be a good person. Not difficult. To be intentionally hurtful to someone is the dickest thing one can do.
You, being a dick, is directly affecting MINE and MY FRIENDS fun. Oh, btw, they're YOUR friends too, so maybe you should reconsider the way you treat people.

Unemployed again. I got hired to work at a pizza place around a month ago and they told me to call when I got back from Lollapalooza, but I wanted to know what days I'd be working. I've been trying to work the last two weeks and every Sunday I've called the person who does the schedules is "out until Wednesday" and will call me ASAP.
So this time, I decided to call on Friday (just now) and the person who does the schedules answered. I said "hey this is Patrick Dietrich" "Okay..." "I was calling about that job you offered me a month ago a-" "I don't need anyone this week bye" and hung up. Even if they did ever call, I would never want to work for a company that treats their employees like POS that don't need an income.
^^^Patty that sucks, yo. you've got a good attitude about it though - you dont need to work for those a-holes.
^^^ and thanks holls. You know im little, and im generally full of sunshine and rainbows, but i'll smack a biznatch. why can't people just be a little more kind? sheesh.

Mayo = amazeballs!!! And she'll cut anyone who hurts one of her friends. Some people should avoid the ATL for that reason alone. I'd take a bullet for that chick.
This is NOT a GRRRR. It belongs in the YAY thread, but oh well.

I seriously have anxiety issues with callin' people on the phone. Unless you're my ma, sis, or one of my BFFs I am completely and totally uncomfortable callin' you. I'll seriously spend 15-30 minutes tryin' to make a phone call sometimes.

Metro Police showing up at my house at 4:30 this morning is NOT a good way to start the weekend. I certainly wish it was because I was "keeping it real" and being too hardcore, but they were looking for some loser with a warrant who hasn't lived here for 2 1/2 years. 4:30 AM...seriously?...GRRRRRR.

First of all, Mayo that new gif in your sig just took some R's off my GRRRRRRRRRR!
And now my latest first world problem: I've been using GIMP as a photo editing tool for a few years and it's always been pretty straight forward and intuitive for the most part. Then I upgraded to v2.8. Once upon a time I could save a picture of almost any format (bitmap, tif, png, etc.) as a jpeg, the MOST common image file type on the intertubes, by simply choosing "Save as" and selecting jpg from a file type drop down menu. Well with this new version they decided to make saving an image as a jpg impossible via the old way, and as counter intuitive for long time users as humanly possible.
I just spent about 45 minutes on converting this image
because I was arguing with someone on the internet and the image was ABSOLUTELY CRUCIAL to making my point.
By the time I was finally able to save it and get it posted almost all of the participants had lost interest in the conversation and were preoccupied with other things.

I could have won damn you GIMP....GRR.
May want to look into some online image editors. I use photoshop for most of my stuff but there are amazingly capable online editors and hosts nowadays. There are some firefox/chrome plugins that work wonders. If I can remember I'll find the one I have installed and let you know. It makes things much easier.

That would be super cool and I'd really appreciate it! This particular image required some rotation and cropping. If you have something that works image voo-doo like that via html PLEASE hook me up!
EDIT: damnit top of the page....Dave Maynar where were you???

to add insult to injury, I drove by the place today and they had a sign out that said "Drivers wanted"
i had to put our class pet down today. i had her for two years, she was a very smart and taught the students a lot about animals. seems silly to be sad over such a tiny creature, but i am.

RIP shadows, you were a good little rattie.
First of all, it does not seem silly one bit.
Second, I'm sorry for your loss. We can grow attached to anything, any size, any species, and losing them can be quite sad. My middle boy's class hedgehog died last year - she had spent a weekend at our house and I grew quite fond of her and she of me - when she died, *I* was as sad as my boy.

Awwww, sorry to hear that EAP. She was a cute little thing. Sounds like you gave her a nice life and she served a greater purpose than most rats ever get a chance to.
