It looks like the producers were doubting being picked-up for another season and did one of those "just in case" season/series finales. Actually, It would be fine with me if it didn't come back for another year. Don't get me wrong. I really dig the show but, this season as been a little goofy (IMHO). Personally, I'd rather them leave it like it is rather than continuing on (what i believe is) the path to the inevitable "shark jump".
But that's just me.

Yeah I have to agree. I think the way it ended this season would be a perfect ending for the series. They would have to completely rework everything to keep it going. I think they could easily do it, but it wouldn't be the same, IMHO.
Don't watch the show, but I have many, many friends who LOVE this show (to be honest, I find it a little annoying) and even they are starting to slowly not care. Used to be all I'd hear people talk about, now... really nothing. Just seems like it's losing some of it's fanbase. There's only so much you can do with a concept like that.
I was just looking through Wikipedia at the entry on how the writers strike will affect upcoming shows. According to that
Network renewed series with late start dates to try and avoid strike impact. Weeds is not scheduled to start filming until April 2008 for a summer debut.
Of course, it is Wikipedia, but apparently they are planning on having another season.
Not sure how I feel about that, but I imagine that we will at least give it a shot.

My friend told me the other day that Weeds had been picked up for another season...so there will be more to fuel my addiction. The boy and I watch it episode by episode...so I'm not through the 3rd season yet. Can't wait to see where this goes!
Hopefully I'm getting these 3 seasons on DVD this Christmas!
