Jesus, I can't tell you 'that sucks' enough. It's completely unfair - just wrong wrong wrong. Wrong on that girl's part, wrong on your boss's part. Least you aren't stuck working there... I can only imagine the stresses that would have been down the road for you if she'd waited to pounce.
Wait, did you say she answered the phones?.... hmm.... if that number were somehow posted, I'm sure there would be some very interesting calls coming her way from all over the (inforoo) country.
Please don't let this get you down. You have Hil, Echo, and all of us fine folks here who know what happened and would happily crank-call this "bitch" into the loony-bin. You are much better off not having to deal with wastes of skin such as this deceitful "bitch" and her lapdog boss. You are MUCH better off not working with people of this ilk. Good luck on the job search... you have a butt-load of folks pulling for you here.

Thanks again, everybody. You guys are right. It's probably for the best that I got away from that place so soon. While nothing like this sh!t, I had already gotten some pretty bad vibes from some of the people there. They seemed a little snotty and clique-ish at times. I guess that may help explain why I was 1 of 3 people that started on the same day.(out of a staff of about 10). As much as the idea of making that bitch spend all day answering infuriating calls from you fine folks appeals to me, I think I'm just going to move-on and try to forget about it all together. I've actually got an interview tomorrow at a place that pays MUCH more. Wish me luck. Thanks again.

well i figured id get in on it too. i always swore i would never have kids. but i was 18 and i liked his mom alot and didnt like condoms very much. but i wouldnt trade it for the world. hes my best friend and has changed my life in so many ways. all positive. i understand not wanting kids but once ya have em you truly realize what life is all about. well thats been my experience anyhow. besides who wouldnt want to wake up every morning to a dazed, cranky, tired little monster that wants to eat away your income!!! ;D
and oat that sux. people suck, too bad ya hadnt been there long enough to get unemployment. youd have no trouble getting it being fired like that without any warning. in the long run its probably for the best. and now ya can get drunk and ramble on inforoo and not have to worry about getting up for work

I love babies, so if I could have a baby then give it up when it starts to talk, that would be great. Any takers?
Haha! Babies are the whole reason I won't have kids. I seriously don't get the fascination. They smell funny, they're always sticky/drooly, they make weird noises, they can't do anything. Whenever anyone I know has a baby, it always goes like this:
New mom: "Want to hold him?" Me: "No, that's ok. I'd rather not." New mom: "Aw come on. Isn't he precious?" Me: (just to be polite but extremely reluctant with large grimace on face) "Ok, just for a second." (Baby proceeds to mimic my grimace to perfection and then bursts into full-on rage-cry.)
Yeah, thanks for forcing me into that really awkward and embarrassing position. I don't like babies and when I say that I don't want to hold yours, I mean it.
Anyway, I am not mentally/emotionally capable of giving birth and caring for a baby. The post-partum alone would put me in a padded cell. People are always saying to me "Oh, you'll change your mind someday. The motherly instinct just hasn't hit you yet." Um, well I'm going to be 30 in Oct, I think I'd have some inkling of "motherly instinct" by now. Biglou's got 3 kids and they can all wipe their own butts and don't drool all over themselves, so there really is no need for more anyway. I'm off the hook! ;D

See!? There was a reason you needed to be removed from that environment. It was supposed to happen so you could get the better job. Maktub! (I've been reading The Alchemist.) Good luck on your interview!
pet peeve - people who are in a constant bad mood and just cannot stand to see someone happy and feel like they have to do everything in their power to ruin the good day the other person is having

Why do people think just because we have been assigned the same hour to eat lunch everyday, that we have to sit together and talk. NO, i claimed this table for me, and Wolf Blitzer on the TV. Go Away, i do not want to hear your awkward stories and be fake affiable. Honestly, its a little painful

that's why most of my lunches were spent in my car (well, that and other activities I always did while on lunch break)
I really just hate how people are seen as rude when they don't want to talk to someone. There are many times when I just want to relax in my own solitude. It doesn't really matter what anyone has to say, chances are I won't care

I have to strategically hide from some coworkers who take the same train home as me, because if they see me on the platform, as far as they are concerned, I must talk to them with no silences until I get to my stop
I normally am trying to read my book when I eat lunch - one of the rare peaceful times I have - I can actually get quite nasty about people barging in on my lunch
This makes me feel so much better! I always eat in my office, and I do so in the off times so that I don't run the risk of running into people in the lunchroom when I am getting my stuff ready.
^^^Hilari - that is why I either eat at 11 a.m. or at 1 p.m. or later - that way I don't have to deal with the idiots and I have the conference room all to myself to eat my lunch in peace
^^^ they are my little buddies. It's kinda cool. they laugh at my stupid jokes, they think I'm the prettiest girl in the world, and nothing is better than a little boy crawling in your lap and saying, "I love you mama" or your tween telling you that he's glad you're his mom because you're cooler than the other moms.

that is true even with they are girls - Jess climbed into bed with me last night for a little while and just talked and talked - was really nice - since she turned into a teenager - she doesn't talk to me as much as she used to
