Looks like i'm aspiring to be a professional student...... currently, I run projections at the local theater.....trying to pay for all the time i'm wasting at college trying to figure out what I want to do!
John: We don't even understand our own music Spider: It doesn't, does it matter whether we understand it? At least it'll give us . . . strength John: I know but maybe we could get into it more if we understood it

History major at the University of Kentucky, and have no idea what i am going to do with it. Thinking maybe of just being a teacher that has summers off and goes to shows all the time. I also work at Mellow Mushroom pizza as a waitor.
Political Science graduate of 1993 and still in the same boat as you mulchy ! I say get that license and become that teacher while the iron's hot. Very important profession. Got a long list of what I won't do ...honing in on what I will do someday.
I spend my time, I would guess, much like Troo. Gardening, canning, brewing beer, chopping wood, volunteering, learning, organizing, and being a full time good husband so my wife's career can pay for our cash needs, and my work can enrich our home experience. I also do handyman stuff, stained glass projects, and whatever else it takes.
We are looking into buying land. So soon I will general contract my own green building and complete the finish work myself. For almost a dozen years after I graduated, I renovated old stainless steel diners from the 30's, 40's, and 50's. Because of that, I appeared on both the History channel and The Food network ! (so my resume says I'm a historical preservationist)
Someday I aspire to settle into organic farming and supply local breweries and restaraunts with locally grown and canned veggies/hops/mushrooms/herbs/spices. Also like to get into grant writing for nonprofits in the winters !
Miles to go before I sleep.....

I'm a piano technician. I tune, repair, rebuild, etc. Been doing it for about 4 years, and I'm working on establishing my own business. I have a BA in music and and hoping to get into teaching music (private lessons?) in come capacity. Life is good.
My 9-5 has me as a business analyst for a consulting firm. Yeah, it's boring, nondescript work. I do a bit of this, bit of that.
I'm also a freelance writer. Gotten paid to babble incessantly through my fingers. Would lurve to make that be the 9-5...
Photographer's assistant for my hubby. I go to lots of weddings.
Oh, and am a personal shopper/wardrobe consultant. Personal stylist to the suburban soccer moms. No couture or chi chi fa fa, just helping people get dressed every morning in things that make them a bit happier.
I also was an at-home consultant selling The Body Shop but they just sent me an email saying I have to sell $209 this month or I'm deactivated. That plus the passing of Anita Roddick makes me think it's time to move on...

M.Ed in Learning Disabilities......I teach kids with dyslexia and ADHD .....yes, ADHD DOES exist and its a very serious condition that can really be devestating to a child (or adult) in the wrong environment (such as 30 kids in a class). Our school has 10 to a class. I wouldnt do anything else in the world. I just wish it paid more! I want to take my son next year to Roo, so I have to start saving now.

AMEN! HALLELUJAH! BLESS YOU! AND MAJOR KARMA! ;D
As someone who slipped through the cracks with ADHD for almost 30 years, thank you! It can ruin your life. Thankfully, I learned to cope (well enough) and was smart enough that I didn't have the school issues that most kids with ADHD have.....but I have uncles and cousins who are in prison and have died of drug and alcohol overdoses and I am now 100% sure that they had undiagnosed ADHD and probably other related LDs or related conditions.....and they were never able to overcome the roadblocks that life threw them. They believed the "you are dumb, stupid and lazy! You just aren't trying hard enough!" rhetoric they heard all day, every day from everyone around them. Keep up the good works Candy! Help save some kids from ending up as statistics.....that is a wonderful job!!!
Well, this is what I said in the other thread that Troo mentioned:

I'm a graphic artist in the prepress dept of a major printing corp. I work on financial brochures and hotel stuff (menus, door hangers, those little cards in the bathroom that tell you to reuse your towels cuz it saves water, and if you don't, you're a horrible horrible person ). BUT, I'd rather do something that benefits actual people/animals instead of big business pocketbooks, so I'd really like to venture into the veterinary field. Maybe start out as a vet tech and see how that goes... I love animals! ;D
The only difference is now I'm actually going to vet tech school part-time, just started last week, and so far I LOVE IT! Today after class I played for over an hour with three sweet little homeless doggies. ;D

I'm a graphic artist too like my lady, ( Messedupgirl ) but unlike her, I like doing it. Now my second job is to make sure she keeps going to school. She tells me how much she hates graphic arts, A LOT!!!!

Me too! I like to think I'm crashing, it makes me feel cooler.
It is nice to get paid to eat cake, chat with bartenders, drink and eat. I pretty much manage the bride-getting-ready pics and then the coordination of the ceremony, then the posed shots. I don't do candids so I get to party through the reception. ;D
