The second part was a mess, but the first part was pretty funny.
I had a weird exchange with the dude who runs the site last year over their inability to adhere to their "update" days. In retrospect, it was stupid of me to complain over something so inane, yet the exchange made it more than worth it. First off, I never thought they'd respond to my tongue in cheek rant -- second off, I didn't think the guy would get so worked up and take it all so personally. He ended up spilling his guts about how he puts his 'heart and soul' into the site and trys to follow as close to his promised update days as possible, but he's 'not perfect,' and deals with writers who can't follow deadlines, and is sick of people complaining. I ended up feeling really bad and apologized.

Ha! That's hilarious!! I've been watching that site for a couple years and remember when they made a big deal on the front page about missing their deadlines. Obviously there were others that complained but I wonder if you spurred the whole thing! The funny part is after they said they knew how annoying it was and that they were going to make deadlines they could stick to, they were still late all the time.
They do have a few good writers though. I like the Amir guy. My tastes are very similar to his.

Haha -- yes, they actually used a quote from my email on the site that first week they were playing defense on missing their deadlines! I can't remember exactly what it was, but I remember seeing it and thinking "fu*k, I really struck a nerve." ;D
I admittedly don't follow the site as much as I used to. Their reviews tend to be a little overlong or gimmicky at times, yet like you said, they have a few really good writers.

I didnt like this article one bit, don't write concert reviews if you dont wanna write about the music. This is more of an opion piece about what they think of hippies, actaully if I met the guy, a-hole would probably what I would walk away thinking. I stopped reading when I got to "Dungen, who sucked". If you write a music review and all you can say is, who sucked and provide no reason or explanation then you shouldn't be writing music reviews.
