Does anyone know the name of the tiny motel at Sewanee? It's been so long since I've been up there that I can't remember. I can't imagine a better place to stay if I day park next year...
Sewanee Inn Guestroom & Rebels 735 University Ave Sewanee, TN 37375 931-598-1686
Is this the one?
You know Sewanee is like 40 - 45 minute drive to the roo, Then another however long to get from the interstate to the site.
You should check Winchester if you want to stay outside Manchester. Or, instead of the little Inn up at Sewanee, check the hotels in Monteagle, TN. Monteagle is right off the interstate and is very easy access on and off. You have to drive down to Sewanee after you get off the interstate.
Sewanee is beautiful though, especially during the fall!

Chris....
That's probably the one! Winchester is probably more logical but I haven't been to the Sewanee campus in years and it's not *that* far away. I imagine it's even more beautiful in the summer without all of the spoiled rich college kids.
My girlfriend went to school at Sewanee. It's only about 25-30 minutes from there to the festival exit. I still wouldn't recomend it. After a long night of jamming out and all sorts of other recreation, it wouldn't be wise to drive that far to find your bed. But yes Sewanee is very beautiful when the trust-fund babies aren't there.
I had a g/f that went there as well. Used to make that drive twice a month but it's been a few years. Recreational activities are the prime reason for considering the drive (with a friend at the wheel, of course). I don't know how everyone manages to partake at 'roo without someplace quiet and dark to chill come sunrise.
It is a very long story that starts with my g/f parents loathed me, but didn't realize when they sent her to Sewanee that my dad and brother live in Manchester. Long story short I started out making the drive from 15 miles north of Nashville to Sewanee every weekend and ended making that drive three to four times a week. Needless to say we've been together for a while now. I would love to go back and spend some more time there. Maybe one year I'll stay a day or two before the Roo.
