Hey all, it's starting to get closer and the new website is up, so I've been thinking about Bonnaroo a little recently. I just have a few questions that maybe some of you could answer in regards to vending. I am thinking about getting one of those sections and selling sub sandwiches from it. Considering the quality and prices at the Roo, I think it might be a welcome addition.
1) Where do you go for a vendor pass?
2) How much does a vendor pass cost?
3) Any other info anyone has about vending?
4) Do different sections cost more/less? (I'm sure Centeroo costs more) How do they determine where everyone will be placed?
5) Share some of your vending experiences.
I'm just trying to get a feel for what it's all about, because I'm sure it's not cheap to get a vendor pass for Bonnaroo, and it's probably a lot of work too. I'm just trying to gauge if it's worth the investment, because this would be my fourth year going and I find it's getting harder to fork over the huge cash for Bonnaroo each year, so I figure a little bit of work would be fun and profitable.
They'll begin posting that information on the website not too long from now. Go the the 2006 website, click on the info tab, and view the 2006 info guide, and you'll find all of that information on page 18.

Thanks, but in the guide it just says to click info and then click on the vendors section, but after you click info there is no vendors section! Maybe I'm just slow, but can someone provide a link?
it will be up soon. when they post all the info it will be there. probably in january or early february. for a small tiume person its nearly impossible. if i remember correctly it was 3500 for the spot and they take 35 percent of you sales. not to mention you have to be certified by the tennessee healt department and have a tn tax id. although neither of those is that hard to do. its more the sever taxation by superfly. i think the smalller fests are the way to go for food. roos non food vendors have it a little better. i think its 2500 but thats it it. superfly dosent get a percentage. roo taxesa everyone for everything. its still great but its kinda sad in a way. i like the smaller fests much better for the way they are ran. but roo is where its at. i always have the most fun there every year. so ill live with the bs
I thought it was only 1000 and they get a profit. My dad and I were looking into vending last year, but the policies are really strict, and unfortunately there wasn't much of an option of going to shows. Not knocking it... just wasn't for us.
If i remember correctly though last year the vendor info was released alongside the initial lineup. I'd say it'll be about the same time this year.
Does anyone know if it costs to set up on shakedown street?

I'd actually think it to be more profitable to sell food on shakedown. Thats where i ate a majority of my meals, which thinking back isnt the most sanitary thing, but man was it delicious. Some guy had an oven in the back of his van and made the best pizzaboats i've ever tasted. I must've eaten about 10 of them the whole time i was there.
