This is probably alright threaded somewhere, but I couldn't find it through numerous searches. Is there any info on if and when "We Have Arrived" will be released on DVD? I know is has been shown multiple times on sundance, but sadly I'm a poor college student who doesn't get cable. And I hear this is the best film about Bonnaroo, so of course I want to see it. Let me know....
Its this dvd a different setup than Live from Bonnaroo 2004, (a song from an artist then 10 second clip, of something misc. then another song). They should have shown more of the Bonnaroo environment in that DVD such as people, campground, the major storms, the Mud.Kinda like how the Woodstock movie was. But if you noticed they made the extra effort to get the Head Count ad for the 04 Election in there, I think they could have left that out seeing as how the movie came out in 2005 after the election.
The" we have arrived" dvd has the same concert footage as the 2004 official bonnaroo release. The difference is there is a lot of behind the scenes footage and interviews. My favorite part is about Trey preparing for his orchestral debut. Its great to see how nervous Trey is getting ready to take the stage and then he is delayed by a raging thunder storm. If my memory serves me well my buddies and I were huddled under a beer truck to the left of the stage waiting out that particular storm. I have the dvd from my krewe of roo membership and forgot I had it until I read about it on this board. It only fuels my passion for roo and I obsess daily about attending my 5th bonnaroo. If you want a copy let me know maybe we can work something out.

This isn't entirely true.
Off the top of my head, I believe the Kings of Leon, Trey, MMJ, and Black Keys performances are all different in the We Have Arrived film. Also, it's much more of a cohesive documentary, rather than a collection of live performances. I'd say it's the most definitive Roo related dvd out there. I really, really hope they manage to spit something out for 2005 and 2006 someday, although I'm not getting my hopes up.
I completely prefer my Krewe "We Have Arrived" DVD- and it's what I show newbies and interested peeps. If for no other reason so they don't get bored/annoyed with the repetitive intros to the various parts of the '04 normal DVDs.
Yeah the Trey segment is the best of the whole documentary!
I recorded this (ON VHS!!!) off of Sundance the other day and Joelman is going to transfer it to DVD.
Joelman actually gets interviewed in this doc. He gets about a minute of screentime!
Kinda off topic, but cool. I had the tape in that I recorded this on and was looking at the listings the other night. Austin City Limits was on and it was Damien Marley's performance from the ACL music Festival this last summer, so I taped that as well on the same tape!! :-)
Does anyone know if this is On Demand? I think Sundance has a section on my on demand digital cable thingy, I'll have to remember to take a look. I'd love to see this.
