Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Pavement Tune by The Frames from '05. Not only a great song from the best set of the year (IMHO) but Glen Hansard asked me to give him a "1,2,3,4" and you can hear me on the bonnaroolive recording.
i guess because he played last year, and it was the first cd we popped in on the ride down to roo last year. Any tom petty song immedietly reminds me of being at roo.
I was sitting around the campsite in 2004 during the rainstorm on Saturday with all these people I didnt know chillin under my canopy we were all doin n2o and Joe Walsh's, Lifes Been Good to Me So Far was crankin on the radio, I never relized how cool of a song that is, theres also a killer guitar solo in there. I would not call it my Bonnaroo anthem but everytime I hear that song I think of good times at Bonnaroo.
One of my favorite moments from the festival was just prior to the DMB show in the big field in 05. Nirvana was blaring over the PA and the crowd was singing along at the top of their lungs. So anytime I hear anything from "Nevermind" I always think of that moment. Also from the same year when Trey opened the late night show with "Going in Circles" and the glow sticks were flying and Trey had the biggest nuts eating grin on his face. I don't think I will ever forget either of those moments.
"Dianne" by Robert Randolph and the Family Band always brings Bonnaroo to my mind. And "Homecoming" by the same band actually makes reference to the roo, so that sparks all the same.
i have to second tennessee jed. i cant hear it without immediatly thinking of roo. and those infamous words "this one time at bonnaroo....." usually arent far behind. it must be difficult to remain friends with a roo'er if youve never been.

oh man, that song is my personal anthem... it just sorta describes my whole personal philosophy... the best thing is if you download the song (or, i'm assuming, have the full song on album/cd) at the end there's this part where he goes, "UH OH! Looks like a flock of wah wahs!" and there's this ensuing duck quacking/waaahing thing that happens that's fuckin hysterical. I guess you'd have to listen to get it, but whenever someone starts whining for no good reason or with excess, I bust out in, "UH OH! Looks like..."
Sorry to get off topic.
Ironically and a bit sadly, the song that always reminds me of bonnaroo is "leave, get out!" by jojo due to the fact that it was immensly popular summer of '04 and we had no CD player on the drive to roo, so we heard it about fiftyleven times on the way there. That's when jojo was 13 so it just sort of became one of those songs that you hate but love, and now i heart it because it always makes me think of bonnaroo.
THis year, I shall find a new bonnaroo theme song!

John: We don't even understand our own music Spider: It doesn't, does it matter whether we understand it? At least it'll give us . . . strength John: I know but maybe we could get into it more if we understood it
strangely enough - thom yorke's the eraser. it leaked online before the fest and I got a copy. we listed to it a lot at camp, and now it makes me think of us just chillin in the tent.
Tennesee Jed and Tall Boy by Widespread Panic. I don't listen to much dead and even less Panic but those are two songs I like and will always remind me of Bonnaroo. Also, Nothing to Fancy by Umphrey's McGee will always remind of 'roo.
For me it is Devil Woman - Toubab Krewe. 06 was the first Roo for me and my freinds and Toubab was the first real High energy show that made us all realize where were at. Now that song puts me right back into the thursday night action and the memories from the rest of the trip.
Flaming Lips - Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots Sublime's self-titled album (they played this before DMB went on in '05 - the album never sounded so good to me as it did then) Oysterhead - Rubberneck Lions Radiohead - Lucky

One Big Holiday reminds me of Roo, but i have to go with Dancefloors as my roo theme song. I was listening to it when i first logged on to read the 05 lineup.
