ok i have a kind of dumb question for syracusefan...
what software or whatever did you use to design those? i had a pretty good idea last year but i have no idea how to create it on a computer rather than my little pencil drawing!
My problem is not with the creativity part, it's the fact that the amount of talent i hav ewhen it comes to drawing is just about zero. I should find someone at school with a tablet i can borrow, then i do all sorts of fun things with my bad pencil drawings... if i ever get around to taking the images out of my mind
I posted this in the other design contest thread, but nobody's said anything and so I'm going to post it here as well. Sorry for the annoyance, I just want some feedback... positive or negative. Any suggestions?
I like the top one "cuse" a lot. Really nice. I also like the bus a lot. However the whole thing seems a little awkward with them side by side unless it is front and back. Can you get the bonaroo part into the bus somehow. Nicely done.
syracusefan - thanks for the info! i'm hoping it's free (but guessing it's not) so i'm off to bug my computer nerd boyfriend to locate the software for me if that's the case. so excited to try it!
samjaco - i like the first bus one alot! i love how you put the bonnaroo logo where the "VW" logo should be, that's subtle but cool. and the bus definitely looks better with the psychedelic designs. the only constructive criticism i would say, is maybe make the bus just slightly smaller - cause there is such a size difference between the van and the bonnaroo font size... not too much smaller, you want it to stand out, just a bit smaller maybe. but then again that might not actually look as good as i'm imagining in my head so i could be totally wrong!

Samjaco, LOVE the top one, like the color of bonaroo better on that one too. I don't know how much you'd like to/are able to alter it, but i think it would be really cool if you could have the bus at a slightly different angle so you could see more of the side, and then doing some sort of a corralation with the bus tires and the O's in bOnnarOo, to sort of integrate the design. also, love the hippy/woodstock feeling, it characterizes bonnaroo well
Photoshop is anything but free, however... There is an open source program that is comparable that is free. It's called The GIMP. I haven't really used it, but I do know that Open Office (another free open source program) is really no different than Microsoft Office. It's worth a try before dumping several hundred dollars on Photoshop.
