So my gf suggested that Bonnaroo have a Vegas-style wedding chapel. I think it's a cool idea. Just wanted to see what you guys thought? I think it would be a huge hit. So is it a good idea or would too many "hard partiers" stumble from Roo wondering why they're married, similar to the movie What Happen's In Vegas?

I've done some messed up stuff that I didn't remember the next day, but I refuse to believe that I would do anything THAT messed up, no matter what mixture of substances I imbibed....cool idea though, especially if Robert Randolph was the organ player.

I think doing some sort of fake marriage thing would be neat. Or maybe a giant "commitment ceremony" conducted by whatever hippie commune wants to come and do it... No real marriages tho, unless they are presided over by the Rev. Al Green. Then I would get married at roo.

That would be so cool. I would totally do it, but me and my guy have been together for 5 years. I could see some people doing it and waking up the next morning going "WTF who are you and who tattooed this ring on my finger?"
weird. in fl you have to wait 3 days after applying to have a ceremony, and its valid for 60 days from that date on. we got ours a few weeks before the wedding just to be on the safe side, otherwise we would have had to get it the tuesday before our wedding (fri) and thats when people started flying in and we probably would have forgotten.
i think a group ceremony would be cool, but something that you had to sign up for AHEAD OF TIME, so you don't end up making a life-changing decision when possibly under the influence or swept up in the moment.
i also like the idea of a big commitment ceremony type thing. then us old married folk could join in, recommitting ourselves to our partners in a very special place amid plenty of good love vibes.
Maybe not a terrible idea, if you had to like notify the management a month in advance of Roo or something.
I was just gonna suggest something like this. I think if Bonnaroo had some kind of sign-up far in advance (though that might be taking the idea too far) it would be great. To be honest the farm is like heaven on Earth, I would definitely want my wedding to occur there
