Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
If you already have the classic five albums (Music of My Mind, Talking Book, Innervisions, Fulfillingness's First Finale and Songs In the Key of Life), I'd say you should check out Hotter Than July or For Once In My Life. But get the classic five first.
Here's how I'd rank my top ten: 1. Music of My Mind 2. Songs In the Key Of Life 3. Fulfillingness's First Finale 4. Talking Book 5. Inner Visions 6. For Once In My Life 7. Hotter Than July 8. Journey Through the Secret Life of Plants 9. Eivets Rednow - Alfie 10. Up-Tight
Also, though if you're looking for a good introduction, that also features some excellent songs not on any other albums, a great one to get is Stevie Wonder's Original Musiquarium.
I'm really looking forward to this. Stevie totally deserves a headliner spot, in my opinion.
He played at the Obama pre-inauguration shindig on the Mall and I couldn't even get close enough to see the stage. The man can still sing, which is more than I can say for some of roo's past headliners. So much talent. I would imagine we will see some awesome guests as well.
biggest bonnaroo artist ever. and yes, i'm including dylan. it's utter nonsense that he isn't the first name on the poster. he should have the top line all to himself. no one else even begins to approach stevie's caliber on this lineup. i'm sooooo excited about seeing him.

I agree with this. I am moving 6 days after I get back from roo which is going to be a total pain in the ass, and if Stevie weren't on the lineup I probably wouldn't be going this year. Stevie Wonder is the first artist of my top 3 must sees in my life that I will be seeing, the other two being Prince and David Bowie.

...I wish those days could come back once more Why did those days ev-er have to go I wish those days could come back once more Why did those days ev-er have to go Cause I love them so...
My favorite Beatles cover, We Can Work It Out. Stevie recorded it in the 60s (I think), here he is doing it in a tribute to Paul at the 1990 Grammys. Music starts at 00:49

I am totally late on this, but I don't check bonnaroo's actual site that often. It is AWESOME that Stevie is headlining Saturday on What. I still think he should be listed first on the bill.
-When I Hear My Name -Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground -Blue Orchid -Passive Manipulation -Red Rain -Death Letter -My Doorbell -Hotel Yorba -Same Boy You've Always Known -Lovesick -Little Ghost -We're Going to Be Friends -The Hardest Button to Button -Black Math -The Nurse -I Just Don't Know What to Do With Myself
Encore: -Ball and Biscuit -Seven Nation Army -Screwdriver
^^I agree, actually. In time, I think people might even talk about this set the same way they talk about Radiohead in 2006 or My Morning Jacket in 2008 - just a truly epic, once in a lifetime, holy nuts, mind-blowing type of set. How has a thread for Stevie Wonder, who in my view is the best headliner this year has to offer, gained only three pages of discussion in as many months? Crazy!

Stevie is one of those artists I just never really got into, although I appreciate his music. I think his show will allow me to appreciate him even more fully. Can't wait for it.

So yeah, this show is going to rule. I know that most headliners at Bonnaroo are polarizing and most don't and won't see them, i.e. Kings of Leon, but I'll be sorely disappointed if everyone in attendance at Bonnaroo is not in attendance for this show.

It is odd how Phish can have 130 some odd pages and Stevie has three. But most of the Phish thread was speculation, talk about the summer tour, the hampton shows, and the dr.ug scene at Roo.
Those vids that Airline posted make it look like a Phish show with about 15 more people on stage. I cannot wait. I agree also that it'll be a set to remember.

I love Stevie, but when I saw him two years ago the set wasn't anything mind-blowing. Not to say it wasn't good, but there was about an hour in the middle that was just obscure R&B ballads. Also the place was half full, which was kind of sad.
I'm hoping he brings a legendary set to Roo too, but I think some people here might be disappointed. Best Roo headlining set ever is a pretty high bar to set.

I'm worried about this as well, not to say I'm not looking forward to Stevie, but I think Jay is going to have the better set this year.

Dep you crazy. Stevie is going to kill, he is my all time favorite artist. He has only played formal events lately, putting Stevie in the party atmosphere of bonnaroo is going to be amazing. I wouldn't put this performance to pasture just yet.

Actually he played a free outdoor concert last July for the MTL Jazz Fest for 250,000. It was a great show and he's a terrific performer but it's not in my top ten.
