I like the opportunity for late nights. Thievery, Biscuits, LCD, Deadmau5. It really could be an amazing late night run. I thought the late nights last year sucked. Like bad. Aside from Phish and NIN I wasn't digging it. I'm not sure where to vote though, b/c at first glance I'm indifferent, but could see myself appreciating it a bit more the more I dig into it. I'm trying to convince myself to skip it for the first time ever (never missed), so that is also making me a bit more indifferent at the time. I'd really just like to take a year off. 8 summers in a row is a lot. Right now I'll say it's OK.
add a decent headliner/large act and i'll be happy with it
my sentiments, exactly. The undercards are really great, but another big name would make it complete. I think KOL are too recent to be a main headliner. We need something more.
I'm underwhelmed by the top of the lineup, but the undercard more than makes up for it. I'd love to see another headliner, but won't be disappointed if one isn't added. And this is coming from someone who is not at all a fan of Dave Matthews or Kings of Leon.
Yeah, I think if Roger Waters or Neil Young were to be added, it would be a whole different ballgame. But it seems like Bonnaroo wants to stretch it out and create anticipation.
the top of the lineup is so mainstream heavy it's weird. It's definitely has a mainstream feel, but then it dips down and there is a ton of really good sh*t on the lineup, but not necessarily big-draw type of acts.
I'm actually excited for DMB. I've been a fan for a loooong time and have never had the chance to see him live, so that was a good one for me. And I really do love Jay Z also. He puts on a great show.

Well,I'm bummed.I expected to see some suprises when I got out of class. How is KOL over Jay Z.How is Tenacious D that high on the bill. Here's hoping for some grat future additions.
DMB and KoL as #1 and #2 is absolutely pathetic, especially after the last few years.
Agreed. Lots of good bands lower on the list, but most I've seen before. It's a little weird that the only band I really reacted to was Tenacious D. Been wanting to see them forever, but still...it's sort of a comedy set!
-When I Hear My Name -Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground -Blue Orchid -Passive Manipulation -Red Rain -Death Letter -My Doorbell -Hotel Yorba -Same Boy You've Always Known -Lovesick -Little Ghost -We're Going to Be Friends -The Hardest Button to Button -Black Math -The Nurse -I Just Don't Know What to Do With Myself
Encore: -Ball and Biscuit -Seven Nation Army -Screwdriver
I will say this, with trying to start as small amount of shit as possible. However Wakarusa for my personal tastes has a better lineup right now than Bonnaroo. As much as I like John Prine, and Tori Amos, and a lot of this undercard, the headliner and big act situation looks grim. Other than Stevie there is not much I care about until you get to Jimmy Cliff. However nobody said Bonnaroo was done yet.

I really like KOL. Never seen them and I have been listening since young youth and manhood. I like how they are remarked as it seems to me the worst thing that's happened to roo since the Metallica unveiling. Remember all those Metallica fans were going to ruin the festival. Well they didn't. Peace and order will return once we all get to the farm.
I'm super happy with it. I will have a ton of conflicts but thats the only downside. Ive never really gotten off on the headliners. I can count on one hand how many headliners I've seen all the way through.
I will say this, with trying to start as small amount of nuts as possible. However Wakarusa for my personal tastes has a better lineup right now than Bonnaroo. I totally agree. While Tori Amos is my favorite and I've been waiting for the day where she makes it to bonnaroo, I think there is something missing.
There is no EPIC band. No Radiohead, Police, Bob Dylan, Pearl Jam, Phish....ect. There needs to be at least one EPIC type band that appeals to everyone.
But I still have faith in the PTB. And I will be there. And I will front and center for Tori.
It's not just not having a headliner. The undercard doesn't impress me much either. Overall, not excited like I've been about every lineup since I started going ('06)

Not impressed at all. I've attended two Bonnaroo's ('07, '09) and was seriously considering going back again this year if the lineup was good enough. I have been waiting for the lineup to come out before determining by summer festival plans and I can now say that I will not be attending this year's festival. I'm about 45 minutes away from Wakarusa and have decided to attend Waka instead. Their are some good acts at Bonnaroo, but Waka just better suits my tastes this year.
Great mid level bands. Headliners a bit weak but I don't care as I won't mind missing the HUGE shows and just rest up for late night, which should be great.

Not impressed to the point where my crew is actually pulling out and looking for alts - namely JazzFest or maybe even Coachella (b/c most are from the West Coast). DMB was epic in the 90s but haven't listened much new since he went mainstream in 2000. Stevie Wonder? Great HOF guy but he's 60 something years old. Jay-Z? Whatever Kayne part II i thought SuperFly would've learned their lesson in bling-bling slap-the-ho crap rap in 2008. Kings of Leon - yawn - another mainstream pop rock band that is not headline material. Some solid undercards for late night sets but no great jam bands. Only show I'd like to see is the Lips do Dark Side of the Moon but it's not enough.
So RIP Bonnaroo '10 you'll be missed hopefully you get your act together for 2011.
