Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Agreed. Cypress Hill is in the top tier at Summer Camp this year, which is a relatively tiny festival in Illinois, no way they would be in the top 20, IMO, at Bonnaroo.
Dude got his playing time moved and still could not be bothered to make it on stage. Anybody that wants another round of Kanye West's diva act just because he's famous/hip/whatever-reason-youre-told-you like-someone is, frankly, bitchmade.
What about somebody who wants it because he makes great music and will likely throw down a ridiculous live show to tour off of? Or does not that fit you condescending to anyone who dares like something you don't personally approve of?
KANYE'S A JERK!!!! HE HURT MY WIDDLE FEEWINGS!
Go home. Your argument is old and tired. We get it, people hate Kanye. It was three years ago. Do you people hold on to sh*t like this in your real lives? If so, you guys must be the most miserable, grudge-holding bunch of fake hippies I've ever seen.
Reading is a skill, try it. I do not like divas. Kanye, like MF Doom (I think Pitchfork has told people they like him before, too!) has shown himself to be a bitchmade diva, at a previous Bonnaroo no less. He couldnt make it on for stage for hours & subsequently rendered his Glow in the Dark show moot. It was both annoying and dumb.
He hasnt released a good record since 2005. BUT THATS NOT WHAT ROLLING STONE SAID! SUSPENDEZEN HURTS MY WIDDLE FEWINGS BY MAKING FUN OF KANYE WEST
The best part here, of course, is your own over the top reaction to the antipathy shown towards a Rolling Stone favorite. You can fairly see the vein sticking out of your forehead as you type. It really means something to you, and trying to call others whiners or whatever actually makes you look even more ridiculous, and unrelentingly stupid.
You guys didn't think Kanye in 08 was REALLY GOOD?
I love it when an artist comes out hours late and plays a short, half-assed show with his back to the audience for the entire performance. That's my shit right there!

They were listed at number 13 in 2006.
And I could definitely see them getting billed that high FIVE years ago. Would you say they are still as relevant with their 2010 release as they were when they played 5 years ago? I just don't think they have the same draw today as they once did. Still think they are great and I would like to check their set out if they are there, but I just don't see them being that high this year.

Not only was I at Bonnaroo 2008 for Kanye, I was also at his Sasquatch 05 show. They were two entirely different shows: one on time, very energetic and passionate, and totally won over the crowd; the other, not so much.
But 2005 was a long time ago, pre Rolling Stone Jesus.

Rolling Stone wasn't the only media outlet proclaiming Kanye's new album one of the best of 2010.
yep. rolling stone along with every other magazine and website in the world it seemed like. a make amends performance would be nice this year, while unlikely.
Bonnaroo has had at least one headliner EVERY YEAR that had international success before the 90s, so I think we can agree that there will be one "classic" name on Saturday and rule out bands like The Killers ot Muse as the Saturday headliner.
Also, insider's posts that a.) she hadnt seen us speculate the band at all and b.) To start thinking less "big name" headliners probably rules out the likes of U2, Macca, the Who and the Stones. Although I think the Stones are probably the only possibility of the 4 with their alleged tour and the "still in talks" thing that insider said
People have been mentioning NY alot lately... so unfortunately I don't think its going to be him from what insider said.
Yeah I noticed this earlier and actually edited my post to take Neil solo out. Good call
I think Drake is more of a stretch than OutKast. I'd like to think they somehow put RATM under that rap/hip-hop moniker.
Drake is definitely not more of a stretch than OutKast. Maybe in terms of whether or not he could hold down What stage (I think he could and I think hes absolute garbage), but he is certainly more likely to be booked. Especially considering that insider said AC/Superfly's original intentions this year were to book Lil Wayne. If not Lil Wayne, Drake is likely the next person they would turn to for that demographic
Almost think there is some other classic band out there that has not been mentioned... RHCP (not classic but big name)? Roger Waters? Genesis w/Peter Gabriel??? Hell I don't know.
RHCP said they werent playing, Roger Waters is booked during Roo and I really dont see Genesis happening, especially with Peter Gabriel. This part of your post reminded me of one more possibility though - Paul Simon. So I'd say the potential list looks something like this now:
Saturday HL CSNY/Buffalo Springfield The Eagles R.E.M. Paul Simon The Rolling Stones (not likely)
Saturday Hip Hop Act Eminem and/or Dr. Dre Kanye(+JayZ?) Drake OutKast (not likely)

They were different shows.
2005 sasquatch was a regular concert.
2008 bonnaroo was a storyline-filled show that was choreographed and more like a play.
You're forgetting something. His new albums kicks a lot of ass. A lot.
But that's my opinion.
Your opinion is fine. The above WIDDLE FEWINGS poster is, however, fucktarded because he cant seem to tell the difference between his opinions and anything else. Did you like Kanye's most recent album (or the one before that that), cool. That's up to you.
Going absolutely nuts because people dont want to see a guy again after his deliberately abysmal performance last time is considerably different than expressing one's own taste in music.

I would expect them to be different.
Theyre different because one was done on time and with energy. One was going to be a Glow in the Dark show but it's hard to do that when your tardiness gets you on stage as the sun is coming up.
What about Beyonce or Rihana for the hip hop spot? Not too huge, but big enough to help sell tickets plus it gives you a female headliner / pop act. Wasn't Beyonce there last year watching Jay?
Note: Im not Rooting for either. Far from it. Just making guesses.
No Leno. Rolling Stone just happens to be the most widely read of the Kanye hype machine. And they cast him as Jesus on the cover of their magazine.
I lost a lot of respect for Rolling Stone when they called Eddie Vedder out years ago and said he made up all of this childhood that he tells the media...he wiped his ass with the magazine for a different reason though..lol
Is Massive Attack big enough to be on LN Which? I'm kinda ignorant of their work.
I mean if Ben Harper/ MGMT '09/ The Black Keys/ LCD Soundsystem are relegated to the tents, why can't Massive Attack be put in a tent? After all, it seems like they play theatres in the states.
And wow, you're like a walking, talking infomercial to turn people away from Pearl Jam and Ohio State, aren't you? Before you started posting here I quite liked Pearl Jam and was indifferent towards OSU, now I find myself wishing that Eddie Vedder falls down a mine shaft or that Columbus is infested with locusts
