Angel Olsen Houndmouth Ought w/ Japanese Breakfast Car Seat Headrest Yaeji Thunderpussy (NYE Show, wtf) Jungle
Keep it rollin' Seattle. Keep it rollllllin'!
That's Yaeji's fourth Seattle show in like a year, she must be huge there.
She played one of our smaller venues headlining the double of her and Kelly Lee Owens a few months back to a desperate, sweaty, sold out crowd. She's playing one of our premiere, beloved and bigger purely GA venues in the Showbox this time around which is a fucking crazy step. Barboza is the basement of a prominent venue rocking a 200-person capacity; The Showbox rocks an 1,100 person capacity.

People are gonna lose it out here, yeah.
Nice. I know she also played the Capitol Hill Festival and earlier played Kremwerk.

Damn, I forgot she played the Block Party. It's funny, I saw KLO that weekend and was thinking how perfect it would've been for Yaeji to be there. I'll definitely report back on how her show is at the Showbox because I'm curious if that's truly an indicator of how much she's blown the fuck up in recent months because, as I've stated repeatedly and as most of us agree: I have no goddamn idea how popular most small artists actually are.

I saw them earlier this year and my wife and I agreed that it's kind of a shame that they getcto do this at this level. They're just not that good. They lack the groove and the power. He pretty much just gets to do it because his last name is Bonham. Greta Van Fleet is a better Zep cover band.
