That's what I get for double checking to make sure I had their opening sets correctly sorted out without checking once to make sure I had the artist name listed.
Very excited for this. Grog Shop is one of those holes that you know will become your tomb if a fire ever starts there, but you go anyway because you could get close enough to lick J Mascis' shoe if you wanted to.
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.

Not sure where else to post this but sure:
I'm considering hitting up the single day of a fest where I could catch IDLES, Lizzo, Stephen Malkmus and the Jicks and Dr. Dog for $65. Is this worth it?
Also, for future reference, where would be the best thread for these sorts of queries?

Personally, I think it sounds worth it. I paid 30 bucks for just Dr Dog tickets in Louisville. Add in Stephen Malkmus and that would be enough for me to justify it.
This seems as good a thread as any to ask that question. The other option is if there is a thread dedicated to the festival in the Music Lounge. Enjoy the festival!

Like “would you rather see Dr Dog or get run over by a triple crown winner”? Or would you rather stay at home, wank off and eat pizza or go to the festival? Tell me what kind of rabbit hole we are talking about here.

Could go a lot of ways. Ideally, a person comes with one show or another show that demands a similar financial and personal cost.
Worst-case, would you rather go to the show he's describing or have 60-70 bucks.

Ohh gotcha. That makes far more sense. I was making it too complicated.

That idles album was great and I immediately looked to see if they were gonna be around me (they weren't)
Ok the first song coming up is “Never Fight a Man With a Perm” and it sounds like some shit you would hear in a dive bar in Chicago in the 90s. I dig it.

Yes, it is worth it. Also, tell us what it is you're considering going to; guaranteed that others will be able to note other bands to make it even more worth it.

We struck out on McCartney in Greenville. Both of us we're on before 10. Waited in line forever. When I finally got in it kept saying sorry someone else beat you to those seats. WTF? Bummed.

That blows. But for small consolation, his show tonight is free on his YouTube channel if you didn't have plans already.

Yeah same thing happened to me. Hopefully he does something bigger so I can get a chance to see him.
