I would pay those prices to see Massive Attack, I just can't drive or fly that far away from home right now. The closest to me they are coming is like a 10 hour drive right now.
I just started working at Beacon Theater, MSG owns both venues, and I'm going to ask about access to buying tix/lottery tix for the Massive Attack show. fingers crossed!!!!

Usher that show and go for free.
People aren't supposed to work while under the influence... lol (you know I am totally going to try to work it.)

I only got a single but there is a slight chance I may not get to attend because will need to cover my work shifts for the weekend and is just a couple weeks prior to my big time off request to attend coachella for an entire week. I will contact you if I can't make it work out and sell to you for same $100 I paid. I don't know if chicago onsales are commonly that cluster f'd but for first time I thought I might actually be grateful to live in middle of country where really cool shows don't come around that much.

Thanks, I really appreciate that. I think I was in a bad spot because I had to go through Ticketmaster's app, which is maddeningly slow to indicate which seats are still available if one seat in a group is sold out and makes matters worse by trying to direct you to buy another seat in the same row that is also sold out. I'd probably have had better luck at a desktop but alas there are more or less no computers at my workplace.
I had both going simultaneously and seemed like the mobile was updating faster but it was ultimately the desktop that I connected to a valid seat. Hate when they do them that way. Beginning of the year I was trying for four $60 elton john tickets and was repeatedly getting nothing. Then suddenly it makes a match and I excitedly checkout fast as I can only to find the $260 price it showed on screen wasn't for 4 but rather EACH. I had specifically unclicked those in my search but it didn't matter. The $1000+ overdrew my account and the a-holes refused to cancel and refund the order. I had to stubhub them and there was fortunately strong demand so ended up breaking even but super negative and stressful situation. I've bought tickets hundreds of times so if it is confusing and stressful to me they are doing a lot wrong.
Just snagged two for Richmond. The venue is under 100 capacity and has delicious vegan food.
I couldn't be more stoked.
Now I can start stressing over a Massive Attack ticket.
Obviously the venue announced it was shutting down next month. It’s been around in some form for almost 30 years and provides a space for smaller bands to play. The past few years has seen an influx of new venues and the smaller shows will be moved to basements and art galleries, but this is a definite blow. I’m positive IDLES will get moved, too.
I’m still lost as to why they sold advance tickets to a show and announced they are shutting down a day later though.
