Anyone going to the Miseducation of Lauryn Hill shows? I'm going to need some updates on how late these things are going. With her history of always being late and then she has 3 openers. Are the openers only there so she can be really late and have less people complain?
When I saw her at the Ryman last year she was a few minutes early, which was frankly hilarious. People couldn't believe it. I'll let you know what happens next Sunday if/when she closes down Pitchfork.
Last night was the first night of the tour and I've already found the answer to my question. She was listed as starting at 8:30, she started around 10. MIA was supposed to end at 7:50. So they had to wait over 2 hr for Lauryn after all the openers had played.
I wonder why she does that all the time.
One reason I will probably not even try to see her live.

Because she does what she wants. The only time I've seen her was at roo, she was late then, but to me the show made up for it. I'm willing to wait to see her perform one of my favorite albums. My wife is a little less understanding, but at least she will be warned.

I was thinking of going and giving it a shot to see the album in full, even though I know I’m dumb to think that she’d perform on time or even show up for sure, a week or so ago in DC and of course the show got postponed 6 weeks

OH GODDAMNIT.
Just can't let me have one metal post, can you?
I had just checked my email and started freaking out. This is like the 3rd best tour of the year, imo and DC-ish on a Friday. I got a little excited.

Can someone explain how the OTR II shows are working? Is it a Jay-Z set and a Beyoncé set or do they do a joint set? I’d research it myself but I want to avoid setlist spoilers.
This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.

it's more of a back and forth. a few jay songs then a few bey songs and so on (and of course a few together) with some video interludes. it's been about a 35 song setlist for the european shows so far. seems like the same format as the first otr tour.
