^^ oh yah at the Bottletree? How were those parties? Didn't know if they were serious parties or not, never got that vibe at Bottletree only Zydeco.
Beach+Condo > Farm+ Tent Hangout has spoiled me rotten
Yep, I think the Hangout has spoiled me too. It's the first festival I'm repeating in the last 10yrs. The 'roo would have to be so overwhelmingly better......hopefully the Hangout will keep putting together good enough ('12) to great ('11) lineups to keep me coming back. Fingers crossed for two reasonable (already hitting festies) additions...Beck or Thievery Corp.
I think Big Krit will be added. He just played Mobile.........and he is from Mississippi. It would be a shame if all we got were these two honkeys Mac Miller and Yelawolf.
I'm hoping we get Original Meters and At the Drive In added.
Friday Jack White Dispatch Dr. Dog M. Ward Switchfoot Rebelution Allen Stone Hey Rosetta! Rich Aucoin
Saturday Red Hot Chili Peppers Skrillex Alabama Shakes
Sunday Dave Matthews Band Steve Winwood Michael Franti and Spearhead
Other: Mac Miller (not Friday)
With the usual caveat that many of those Friday acts might have just listed the first day of the festival.

Chris Cornell is completely by himself and is acoustic. PASS. Saw Soundgarden at Voodoo last year and it was awesome....
any idea if it's just his solo stuff? because even though i like cornell, that could be a bust...however, an acoustic version of Superunknown in it's entirety would be sweet...
here is Cornell`s most recent setlist. It has a good mix of Soundgarden, Audioslave and other stuff.
I'd be down for something like that...or a stripped down version.
I'm just hoping it's not his solo stuff exclusively. His work with soundgarden, temple of the dog and audioslave were some of my favorites, but the solo stuff I have heard I am not a fan of.
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.

Beach+Condo > Farm+ Tent Hangout has spoiled me rotten
I went to a few of the Kids Got the Disco parties at Bottletree before they stopped. I always had a blast. The DJs were great and the crowd was fun and more sober in a good way than other EDM shows I've been to, not to say nobody was getting down. The problem was the crowd was pretty young. I was 24 and 25 going to the things and I felt like an old man at a playground. In fact I hear the reason Btree doesn't do them any more is because everyone was 18 and couldn't buy beer.

Oh man am I spoiled. I did Bonnaroo 7 times before going to my first Hangout, and going to that bed at the end of the night changes everything.

The Head and the Heart and Edward Sharpe look like solid possibilities, but would Hawthorne really do Minnesota->Gulf Shores->Kansas? Especially since he's playing Mobile less than a month before the festival.

Maybe. But there's still that Mobile date. Lots of SE dates, actually. It wouldn't surprise me, but I think it's fair from a sure thing.
St. Vincent still has May 20 off between Atlanta and Nashville. That add would make me very happy. Heartless Bastards have a May 19-21 gap in their SE tour, too.

....the bed, the AC, the bathroom, the couch, the quiet, the pool, sit down restaurants, the beach, the party, not breathing in dust or walking in mud.........

Added Wilco and Sleeper Agent to Friday per Pollstar. Took off Dr. Dog because their site now lists the Hangout date as May 18-20 with their set TBA.
EDIT: Also added Flogging Molly to Saturday (Facebook)

Friday looks like conflicts galore. wilco surf style > jack white main makes sense. I'm thinking co&ca might be on the groove shark stage during wilco. tough call for me. wilco is an all time favorite but I've seen them several times. co&ca I've never seen.

Some of those Friday acts will probably move around to other days. They might just be currently listing the first day of the festival in their tour dates. I would be particularly surprised if Dispatch and Cornell stay on the same day because they both seem primed for the 5:45 Hangout Stage slot.

I could see Cornell getting a spot like Amos lee. I couldn't agree more about being spoiled. Can't express how nice it is to sleeeeeeep when I want until I naturally wake up in a bed at a normal temp. Then go on a balcony and plan my day with breakfast and a beer. No way id miss wilco I this setting for coheed just can't do it. Hoping rebelution gets the UM slot from last year. Going to their show tonight may stick Around and see if they are comig back...
Coheed is awesome live, def check them out. Saw them for the first time opening for AFI in like '03 in Pensacola at Bayfront......had no clue who they were, enjoyed them more than AFI.
It would be a disaster for me personally if Wilco and Dispatch were conflicting, especially on Friday. I have a feeling I have a lot of company in this feeling so I'd bet the organizers wouldn't create such a direct conflict. If they do, that's a dumb move. People around my age grew up with both of these bands playing a huge part in their lives and seeing them on a the hangout beach, at least for me, would be an unbelievably incredible experience.
