Small fest in downtown Birmingham focused on emerging regional artists. I went to the inaugural fest last year and had great time. It was well run, and all the venues were within a few blocks from one another. There's no ticket info yet, but last year was dirt cheap. I think weekend VIP passes topped out at $35, which got you access to the VIP area with free food and booze.
They've already released a bunch of this year's lineup, and there's some good stuff, even if most of the acts are still mostly unknown outside of their respective cities. The acts range from indie rock to hip hop to jam to EDM. It's probably heavier on rootsy/folksy stuff than anything else.

I definitely knew more bands last year, but I don't mind wandering around and checking out some unfamiliar stuff. Especially when tickets and booze are dirt cheap, and I've got a free place to crash. Sets from Lambchop, Black Tusk, Brainworlds, Hail the Titans, and Cortney Tidwell mean it can't be a total bust.

Early bird VIP goes on-sale tomorrow for $45. More expensive than last year, but still probably worth it considering it gets you access to an area with free food and booze. I will have no problem drinking $22.50 worth of booze each day.
