Fever Ray is that good live? A friend gave me an EP or short LP a few years back along with the first Neon Indian release......I need to give it another listen.
Neon Indian>XX @ Roo '10 was sickness
The ambiance of that performance is what really put it over the top. I had an amazing spot, was surrounded by people in the front who all had knife like masks on. That with the lasers, fog, incense, and their costumes made for a nearly religious expirence. So in a sense, it wasn't just the music. I've definitely seen better musical performances, but everything was in the right place that night.
2013 Pitchfork and TBA 2012 Bonnaroo and Maha Festival 2011 WakaROO (Wakarusa and Bonnaroo) Maha Festival 2010 Coachella 2009.... First Roo 2008 lost my festival virginity to Wakarusa

^^^what both of them said! I loved how at the very end, the lasers slowly made themselves into one with all the energy sucked right into it!!! At least that's how it was for me :-)

I understand completely. I've had many many "stars alligned" shows that weren't the best for everyone else but were perfect for me. Olivia Tremor Control 2011 @ One Eyed Jacks in NOLA comes to mind.

Silent Shout might be one of the best albums of the last 10 years.
I was mostly a Heartbeats fan and have heard Silent Shout (the song) a few times on XMU, but I decided to give the entire SS album a listen. Thanks for the recommendation, its quite good. Can't wait to give it a few more listens.

Yes. This. Such a simple effect that really was a huge moment. Really what that set was all about, little things like that. <3
1. I have almost exactly enough points in my Southwest Rapid Rewards account to afford a flight to San Diego (or well more than enough to afford a flight to LAX).
2. All my major projects this semester are due RIGHT before Coachella. I would only have to skip a few classes to go to Coachella, and they wouldn't be important classes.
3. I could probably get a free pass if I agreed to cover the festival for Blurt Magazine.
I think I'm going to Coachella, motherf*ckers. Now I just have to figure out where I'm gonna stay.
And clearly you aren't a rapist (I hope) but the way you pop into any thread where a woman happens to be lamenting her lack of ride to Bonnaroo and tell them to come hop on your bus sounds extremely rapey.
