Green Day fills that 90s band with a deep catalog slot a la Foos/RHCP better than any band touring right meow. They owe Huka a festival show for canceling Voodoo. At this point, I'll be surprised if they are not on the lineup.
Muse sold tickets to their February shows back in October, I think they have had their touring plans figured out for a long time. If Hangout wanted them, they were probably the first headliner booked. I personally don't want Muse as I have tickets for the Orlando show in a couple weeks, but it's hard to ignore the convenience.
I think your lineup guess is probably the most realistic guess at this point.

Well to quote the HOs facebook page "The 2013 Hangout Fest lineup is coming NEXT WEEK. Sign up for our e-letter on our website to be the first to find out." so I'm expecting them to e-mail me and everyone else on the list before they announce it on any radio station.

Almost every festival has that same verbiage on their websites. Don't expect to get the lineup ahead of their announcement. At best you're looking at simultaneously.
It's not hangout fest mind you but Magnetic Music Fest said the same thing and their email was a solid 10 minutes past it doing up everywhere else.
Magnetic Music Fest haha that's at my college what a mega fail that's going to be. Same weekend as sweetwater and wanee? Wom wom woommmm
They've totally botched the entire thing and picked a horrible weekend for it. Probably the worst marketed/promoted thing I've ever seen with the lineup vein delayed over a month. The. They said it would be announced 'this week' and waited until 5pm on a Friday.

I am going to have to check it out...they apparently are calling it a "free fest" in Creative Loafing, that would be its only saving grace..the thing that skeeves me out the most is the 16 and up age group..how many Stat Rape charges are going to go down in Kennesaw that weekend? A lot.
For the record, last year started at 9pm central and went well past midnite. I want to say 3am.
That's not true. Look up the old FB posts.
P-dog is correct. When we say "lineup came out at midnight" we mean "lineup announcements started at midnight"
Hangouts FB Post last year- We're throwing a party and you, our Facebook fans, are invited! Tonight at 12am CST we are holding a LIVE event, right here on our Facebook page. Tell your friends, grab some libations and see you back here tonight!
Since Pablo said it would be 6am last year you figure he's wrong this year as well?
Why the hell do people keep saying HUKA has anything to do with Voodoo??? Voodoo was Steven Rehage. Voodoo and HUKA are now owned by that SFX guy or whatever his company is called.
I'm hoping Voodoo doesn't get Green Day for this year. The feedback seemed pretty overwhelming online and at the festival that no one gives a fuckk about Green Day.

My bad. I guess I really just remember when I finally went to bed which was around 3am. Starting at midnight and dragging it out like that was torturous

The verbiage I read on Billboard is SFX owns Voodoo and swallowed up Huka. The wording of Huka/Hangout/Shaul is always careful, but this article states re:Huka :
The company handles many aspects of booking and logistics for the Hangout Music Fest, but “does not have equity in it,” according to Billboard.

So, the way I read it, the company involved in booking Hangout is owed a performance from Green Day
HUKA more than likely gets a flat fee for producing HMF. It is in zero interest for SFX to help out Shaul unless there was equity involved for reciprocity.
Even if I was owed a performance from Green Day, I wouldn't want it
Personally, I don't want to see them again. But if I had 35,000 tickets to sell and my other options are Mumford and Sons and Muse, I'd warm up to them. Just my $.02

I am personally hoping that something of this Janes Addiction date at Bottle Rock flourishes into a date at hangout as well... EDIT:: probably not in a headliner spot though, I would just like to see them

Ok. I thought by booking = they were the ones courting bands. If SFX really has no interest, then I'm sorry I brought it up.

Jane's is great live. They killed it at DeLuna '11 (although they were like 40 minutes late for their set)
So, if 92ZEW is announcing the lineup with "Shane" (apparently the morning show guy) Does that make it more/less likely that they drop it at midnight?
I would think more. Then again I know nothing.
And if my other two options are Mumford and (insert "jam band" here), Green Day sounds like a win in my book.
Anyone think we could get Macca/Petty | Muse/KoL/Green Day (pick two)/ TAB (2 Sets) AND Further (2 Sets) (or maybe WSP)? That would be a massive thing for Hangout, would explain the secrecy.

If all we get after all this time is Mum, a jam band (unless its phish), and Green Day....I think thats pretty weak stuff right there
This lineup is supposed to be "HUGE" so I think that we could get that second list of ideas everydayperson, I mean, otherwise why would they care so much about keeping it a secret? So nobody knows that we're getting middleaged men who wear mascara? meh.
Also, anyone know how to stream 92ZEW? only radio that streams on iheartradio from Alabama is a gospel station, and thats really not what I am looking for

i highly doubt the lineup will drop at midnight... HMF has made absolutely no announcement that anything like that will happen and I just don't see them posting the lineup out of the blue with no warning... hope I'm wrong
Phish hasn't released any tour dates yet. Anybody know if this is this later than normal for them? Seeing them or Furthur in the Sunday closer spot would be silly fun.
Having had insider info on the festival, until this year, makes the delay pretty stressful. Can only hope AJ's friendship with Coran Capshaw can help the fest, if their's any lineup issues. It's what got TAB the first year and DMB last year. The second year, when the fest was trying to confirm a final headliner, netted them Paul Simon. I'd love to see HOF have Phish or even better Furthur, but I don't see the city being happy about that. The city has made it very clear about their interest in keeping it family friendly and for lack of a better phrase "no wooks." The city's restrictions on the noise ordinance killed late night last year, and I'm hoping an agreement was reached for this year. The second year when the fest had WSP, they really went after Phish pretty hard. Phish didn't want to play up against their own festival that year, and won't do that this year either. I wouldn't count Panic out for a night, but it was my understanding that WSP doesn't play the Wharf anymore. The year Panic played Hangout in 2011 was the first year Panic was out their contract, that expired in 2010 with the Wharf. That contract was not renewed in 2010 when the new booking agent started booking the venue, so that's why no three Panic night run. I had a strong feeling about Muse until someone mentioned their first shows of their Euro tour in England. If I had to make a guess I'd go with Mumford, Black Keys, and TAB.
