i highly doubt the lineup will drop at midnight... HMF has made absolutely no announcement that anything like that will happen and I just don't see them posting the lineup out of the blue with no warning... hope I'm wrong

Mumford and Green Day would give the HMF 2 grammy winners- which is stellar for a fourth year festival. Like the bands or not (or give a shit about the grammys)- HMF is trying to put the best possible line-up for the masses. Final guess- like anyone gives a damn.
Green Day(Saturday)- Mumford and Sons (Sunday)- Muse(Friday) And three are grammy winners With an undercard that is strong on talent- this fest will sell fast.
May Tycho May Phoenix June Rooo July MMJ and Margo Price August Queen with Adam Lambert August Roger Waters (Bucket list #1) August Spoon and Portugal the man Sept Depeche Mode Sept Pilgrimage Fest
Having had insider info on the festival, until this year, makes the delay pretty stressful. Can only hope AJ's friendship with Coran Capshaw can help the fest, if their's any lineup issues. It's what got TAB the first year and DMB last year. The second year, when the fest was trying to confirm a final headliner, netted them Paul Simon. I'd love to see HOF have Phish or even better Furthur, but I don't see the city being happy about that. The city has made it very clear about their interest in keeping it family friendly and for lack of a better phrase "no wooks." The city's restrictions on the noise ordinance killed late night last year, and I'm hoping an agreement was reached for this year. The second year when the fest had WSP, they really went after Phish pretty hard. Phish didn't want to play up against their own festival that year, and won't do that this year either. I wouldn't count Panic out for a night, but it was my understanding that WSP doesn't play the Wharf anymore. The year Panic played Hangout in 2011 was the first year Panic was out their contract, that expired in 2010 with the Wharf. That contract was not renewed in 2010 when the new booking agent started booking the venue, so that's why no three Panic night run. I had a strong feeling about Muse until someone mentioned their first shows of their Euro tour in England. If I had to make a guess I'd go with Mumford, Black Keys, and TAB.

So would. Petty - Black Keys - Tool ...... Flaming Lips, skrillex, carolina chocholate drops..... Beyonce, lil wayne... Bruno Mars... La Roux...
What if the stray from the norm and go Kanye? Kanye - Muse - Petty would be about as good as I could ask for. Not my favs, but still pretty good.

Maybe it's just me but even in Green Days prime they weren't a must see group by the majority of people it would feel like my balls were put in a vice grip if Green Day is a headliner and it would also be in my opinion the fall of the Hangout Festival!

Since everyone is throwing out their final guess Mumford,KOL,WSP
One band I haven't heard anyone mention that has a new album and would fit the HO demographic is OAR (Of A Revolution) anyone else see them as a possibility

Not a headliner- IMO OAR blows donkey.
An franksy haha you're right about my post history- but I only got an account to talk hangout. There's nothing wrong with winking at people on the street either but it doesn't mean it's not creepy! Haha now- gotta go to bed so I can hit the gym again tomorrow.

Going from Foo Fighters to RHCP to Green Day hardly seems like the downfall of a festival capped at 35,000 people

Throw in some Bass Nectar or Skrillex and Umphreys you got yourself a lineup

I approve. Especially if Jane's is on the same night as TAB. I would like to see them put an act on the main stage during the break between sets of the two set acts.

So your saying going from the RHCP to Green Day isn't a major decline in talent? I think the RHCP are twice the band GD is but thats just my opinion and from my time spent on this forum a lot of people feel the same way about GD.

Well folks as fun as the last 13 days have been arguing, assuming, and anticipating with all of you the wait is almost over the lineup will be here tomorrow and no matter who we get I have faith it will be a kickass lineup and I'm sure there will be some tunes we can all get down to. Fingers crossed!
*May the wind always be at your back and the sun apon your face and may the wings of destiny carry you aloft to dance with the stars.

I think when booking a festival, especially the top three headliners, appeal within your potential audience outweighs one person's opinion of talent. Sure, Flea and Chad Smith can play circles around Green Day, that doesn't make I'm With You any less of the dog turd of an album it is.
