I just like to read your stupid assumptions so I'll stay quiet.
See, I didn't give you the answer, so you can't really decide if my assumption (which is more of a commonly held opinion than an assumption) is "stupid" or not.
C'mon, bud, you're almost there. Just throw a name out there.
You mean you didn't give up on a team that won 11 consecutive division titles during your formative years?
Well let's be honest - they only won one World Series and choked games away regularly in many of those years. Praying for a repeat in 2013 - only earlier than the WS. The Marlins have won more WS and gone deeper in the playoffs then us within that span. I note them since they are specifically within the division.
also let's not act like 2006-2010 didn't happen. They went 79-83 in 06', barely finished over .500 in 07', an injury ridden 08' where they dipped below .500 again, 09' they got their act together a little and made it a little closer but missed the wild card spot,
Those were some struggles. Then having Mark Lemke, more than a handful of woeful trades and then quickly being one in done when they actually made it to the playoffs many times was dissapointing (seriously, I feel like the Astros have forever owned us as well). I'm not saying they are a Kansas City Royals or Cubbies but hell. The Braves were able to make it through but were constantly getting their lunch handed to them by the Mets during early years and Phillies during late years which when looking within the division is not the greatest.
The Braves are still getting their act together within this new Fredi era and are now looking like they are hitting a stride again

There is another funny video linked to the end of that one called the Miami Floppers. It's an extended addition from the Heat's finals againt the Mavs. The Wade one's are great

Also, the flopping thing can't really be compared to other era's to the extent of "How much MJ did it" vs. "How much Lebron does it." Its essentially been brought into the game by the increased volume of offensive fouls and charges that are called now, compared to 20 years ago. Its not just Lebron. Its not something that can be cut and dry, but that goes for all athlete comparisons that are from different eras.
Are Lebron's flops more glaring than Jordan's push offs? Maybe. But at the end of the day, its all about getting away with what you can, based on the way things are officiated. And that goes for almost every athlete in every sport, not just MJ & Bron Bron.

WakkaMacca The answer you're looking for is just a page back...and you're quoted in it.
In related news, Brian Grant is quite the charitable fellow since being diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease. Pretty great guy.
Yeah, I read a lengthy article about him and the work he's done (my godfather has Parkinson's, so it's something I try to stay educated on), seems like a world-class person. He just also happens to be a PF who got a max contract after posting a 7.5 points/5.5 boards season in Portland.
Sorry, Mr. Grant, you deserve more than to be a device to out a frontrunner.
Games like this make me wish they had fighting in basketball like they do in hockey. I would love to have been able to see the Hansbrough/Anderson fight play out. The Muppet vs The Birdman!
When Adam Silver takes over, he needs to make this happen. We have been robbed of some epic showdowns in the past. MJ vs Reggie, or maybe Barkley vs Shaq. I'd even say that if they let the Ron Artest/Ben Wallace spat to play out, the whole riot would have never happened since Artest would be knocked out unconscious instead of beating up fans. Athletes obviously gotta work off some steam every now and again, why not oblige them?
^ Everyone at the Arena was laughing hysterically when they showed that little biznatch on the big screen. I'm definitely embarrassed about this bandwagon f*ggot.
