Athfest is a annual music and arts festival held at the end of June in downtown Athens. This year the festival is held June 21-23. The great thing about the festival is that they have a free stage with a bunch of good artists and a VERY, VERY cheap wristband for all of the concert venue shows. Tickets for the wristband are 17.50 for this month and 20 bucks for the month June. Link to tickets: tix
Line-up includes: Patterson Hood & The Downtown Mystic Rumblers, Zach Deputy, Zoogma, Lera Lynn, Bloodkin, Ghost Owl (ft. members of Perpetual Groove), and the Modern Skirts final show ever.
For 18-20 bucks you get: Reptar, Dead Confederate, The Whigs, Yip Deceiver, Cracker, and a bunch more. Also, Saturday at New Earth is the Wired Music Festival which is a bunch of Athens electronic artists.
Here is the map of Athfest 2013. The blue marker is my buddy's apartment which I'm moving into soon. There are also markers for the hotels in downtown and where all the stages and venues are gonna be. Mind you, the bars that aren't associated with Athfest are still going to have stuff going on.
