Got my ticket for the Austin show. Balcony, but i'm still stoked for this performance. Thinking 1 of the following 3 opens; Pusha T, Mac Miller, or Post Malone.
Why the fuck would Mac Miller be the opener? Like with all the people Kanye is working with right now and you throw out Mac Miller? I think I could name 50 artist that have a better chance of opening this tour than Mac fucking Miller.
all 3 are at the Meadows Fest thing, just speculating off that. Also the only time i've seen Kanye live, Mac opened for him.
When the Gov Ball show and Webster remake were cancelled Push said something about wanting a GOOD Music tour or whatever too so he'll probably also be an opener. Pusha, Vic Mensa, and Desiigner obviously make the most sense out of all the speculated names.

Is it weird that waiting for the openers to be announced for this is almost as exciting as a small festival lineup drop for me? For a tour this big it's like getting a free ticket to someone I'd probably pay $30+ to see by themselves.
Just got back from a movie and didn't get to see it live but may stay up just to see the crowds reaction. And to see if they pass around the aux cord again
Was really hoping for Chance or Young Thug but both look like they have conflicting dates. Travis Scott will be in Europe during the first show so I at least dodged that bullet.
Hoping for: Pusha T, 2 Chainz, Tyler The Creator, or Schoolboy Q
Inforoo thoughts on all the controversy surrounding the Famous video?
Seems pretty subdued to me.
Chris Brown didn't care. Ray J didn't really care but his manager made a sex tape joke. Taylor Swift's people issued some sorta angry statement. George Bush's people just said he's in better shape than that.
The only person who actually seemed angry was Lena Dunham and who the fuck cares what Lena Dunham thinks on the subject?

Does Trump know yet? He didn't seem to know what Brexit was a week ago. He is usually quick to sue, but he may like this adaptation of himself.

I am still trying to figure out how I really feel about it. Part of me thinks it's great. I like when Kanye pushes passed peoples comfortable boundaries. I read what Lena wrote about it, and I agree that America definitely has a problem with "rape" culture, but I just don't know if this video is a good example of it.

All his people said was that was not him in the video. So they know it exists.
I've got a friend who is well-listened and open minded musically and I sent him a link to "Champions", like hey have you heard the new Kanye track. He listened to it and dug it, then said he'd never really listened to Kanye West. I was like whaaaaaaat. Turns out he's avoided Kanye because of his public persona, which is pretty common I guess. I offered to make a playlist, and he said he would certainly listen to a "carefully curated" kanye playlist if I made one.
So knowing my friends preferences, I focused on Ye's more progressive later work, but with some hits/bangers thrown in there. I know the lack of earlier tracks will be upsetting to people. But if you have any comments on the playlist lets discuss:
1. On Sight 2. Cold 3. Runaway 4. Stronger 5. Waves 6. Mercy 7. Black Skinhead 8. Power 9. FML 10. New Slaves 11. Devil In A New Dress 12. Clique 13. Monster 14. Flashing Lights 15. Facts 16. All Of The Lights 17. Famous 18. Through the Wire 19. N--- in Paris 20. Ultralight Beam
I had to trim a ton of tracks I wanted to include, I really didn't want to go over 20. Even that is too high IMO, but I did the best I could. Some of these are just personal favorites, like while there are better Kanye songs than Clique, it has possibly my all time favorite Kanye verse.
I put a lot of thought into the order and am proud of the way the playlist flows. Some notably fun juxtapositions are Stronger > Waves, New Slaves > Devil In A New Dress, and All Of The Lights > Famous.
