trust me, I want to like it. Especially with all thw people on inforoo that like it, I'm shocked/disappointed in myself
Don't feel bad, I feel that way about most things that people on this board praise. Health is pretty good but I don't love it. I couldn't even listen to all of Destroyer, I thought the Dre album was terrible.
to be completely honest. I tried to give Health a shot, but i just couln't get into it
Really? I connected more deeply to the Chelsea Wolfe and Beach House on a ~personal level~ or whatever, but Health is a spectacular piece of work. Much respect for that album.
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.

Correct. I felt kind of guilty adding her to the list, but I had to be honest.
Why? Despite the artifice, and the oh-so-contrived hand wringing people like to start up when she gets mentioned, her albums have all been pretty terrific.
Basically what you just mentioned. She's one of those names where people immediately groan a little when you mention her. I would agree on her albums being pretty terrific.

Call it dull if ya want, I've got alot of listening to do... the bold ones are the albums that I think have a chance to take AotM for me. I personally think Mercury Rev is gonna take the title.
My top 5 for August 1. Mick Jenkins - Wave(s) (my vote) 2. Nathaniel Rateliff & The Nightsweats 3. FKA Twigs - M3LL155X 4. Destroyer - Poison Season 5. Mac Demarco - Another One

Who cares? People are idiots.
This is true, but it just gets bothersome to see that same reaction over and over again especially when I know that that person probably hasn't actually listened to any she has done aside from the singles.

Can we stop talking about Laan Del Fake-o. She's so fake and annoying - is she even really singing? Could she be more bored that someone's listening to her bleat into a microphone?
