All I'm saying is I look at my pto time and decide do I want to take a week of work and sit in a tent on a hot ass farm eating lunchables n poptarts, waiting in line for showers (or not showering) and portos or would I want to go to the beach for a week in a three story condo, eat lobsters and paddle board with a dolphin.. idk. Maybe seeing u2 and the Weeknd is just that high on folks list to deal with that shit.
I don't know your situation but there are other options besides Bonnaroo and the Hangout.

Like this fest in your signature that isn't happening....
(since you seem to be about breaking balls for no reason)

We're all in beach front condos a couple of minutes from the gate. What venues do you consider comparable? Imo Beach>city>field Condo>hotel>tent ...and May in the Gulf is pretty nice as well.

No1 cares about anything u hav to say either, bud. Some of the people in this thread know each other and know other friends that aren't on this board. Just describing why certain people may or may not be going.
Well now I'm in the Hangout thread so you have to care. This will be my first time on the beach and I don't want to fuck this up for my group or your's. I will let you know which headliners my group approves/disapproves of within the hour.
edit: you picked a very shitty year to call your first Bonnaroo btw
That's way overplayed. It's not 2012 or some of the earlier years. But it's not nearly as bad as some are making it out to be except in some parts. There are still a good 24 acts I'd see. I realize that's not that much compared to other years, but...
If you were already on the Florida Panhandle 7 or 8 times a year, you'd understand one reason. But if it's your only shot to get to the beach, and I realize you're in Dallas so it's not exactly a 2 hour 45 minute drive, it's a little more special.

And there's always acl.
I hear you. I'm not a giant fan of Bonnaroo. It's cool and all, and I enjoyed the times I went. I just want some fucking Wakarusa back.
No. Do you always answer questions with questions? To remind you, what venues do you consider comparable?
No? I honestly don't know if other American beaches allow live music? I mean I could bring up Germany and Spain and other Euro-Beach festivals but I assume those do not apply? Coachella has nice grass I hear?

So there is no American festival venue you consider equal to, or would prefer to, The Hangout?

I would say there are multiple American fests in more beautiful venues than Gulf Shores, AL. But that's just me?

Are you saying this is the only festival near a beach? Or with condos?
In my mind I'm writing in English. Is it not coming out that way? I'm assuming you have been to a lot of festivals. What venue do you like better than The Hangout? Ken posted a picture of The Gorge, so I guess he is saying he prefers Sasquatch. It's obviously a beautiful setting, but I prefer the amenities of The HO to flying across the country to camp in the middle of nowhere.
