I've heard that. Angel Olsen would be 2nd, then Bon Iver, is Warpaint or Beach Slang this month or next? Either way none of them are as good as Nick Cave. Right now it would be my #1 for the year.
yeah I haven't decided between nick cave and Bon Iver yet but those two along with Angel Olsen will probably all end up in my top 10 for the year.
Nick and Angel will definitely be in my top 10 for the year. Bon Iver will probably be a little lower, unless it grows on me a lot, which has been known to happen.

Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.
Someone help me figure out why Nick Cave is worth a shit? Thanks.
Nice Cave and the Bad Seeds is the type of band you have to shut down everything around you and fully submerse yourself into. It's not gonna take if you casually listen. Go listen to "push the sky away". It's their most accessible album. If that doesn't do it for you, then don't worry about it. Like you said, they just might not be your bag.

Normally I say do what you want, but in a month like this, regardless of my admiration of Nick Cave, I agree. Ya'll are bat shit. I'm holding off for the end of the month like a normal person.
I just started listening to Preoccupations (fka Viet Cong), and it's the first thing I've gotten to this month. Already feel behind.
For some reason, Preoccupations feels a lot longer than Viet Cong, even though they're about the same length.
Also: I wonder how many other bands have had self-titled albums under more than one name
For me it seems longer because Preoccupations seems more like an album name than a band name. And it's cool to think that two of their members have now experienced this 3 times. Women, Viet Cong, and Preoccupations.
