Clemson has to be the luckiest team in the history of the NCAA. They have not played well the majority of the season
That’s not entirely true. The only time we got lucky is when he missed the kick.
Missed the kick x 2
Clemson has 16 turnovers this year. Maybe "lucky" isnt the right word. If other teams could capitalize, they'd have at least 2 losses possibly three.
You cant tell me you feel good about that win today. They sure dont look like a national championship team despite their record. I have no reason to dislike the Tigers but lets be realistic.

I don't feel good because we should have lost. Sometimes you have to win games like that. There is another way to look at the turnover issue though. We turned it over 5 times and were still able to beat a team as good as Louisville. Today was just one of those crazy games. We moved the ball all day, we just kept turning the ball over. Our defense was good enough to keep us in the game. If we weren't good enough we would have lost those games. If we didn't have the best qb in college football we would have lost those games. He makes the big plays when he has to.
My great aunt and her husband have season tickets for VT football & basketball (although supposedly this is the last year they're getting them). Found out today my brother and I have their tickets for the Miami Thursday night game next week!

It will probably end up deciding the Coastal.
Status update:
I held my tongue as a Pitt fan too.
Such a disappointing performance. I thought we was going to be able to steal this in the 4th, looking unlikely now. Classic trap game.
So is Kelly getting fired this week or are they waiting until later?
My prediction is they keep him at least through the Miami game. If they have ANY shot at even making a bowl game this year they need that win. If they lose that game, the season is shot and they miss a bowl game for the first time since 2009, then I think they fire him, but ultimately its Gods Will

Agreed. I can very easily see them losing three of their last five (Miami, VT, USC) with the lesser possibility of losing to Navy as well. There's no way he survives that especially with the press he's getting for throwing everyone under the bus.

Navy brought down Houston, who is considerably better than ND. Plus if ND are 2-8 going into that game I could see them being demoralized and navy mopping the floor with them.

Something worth noting with the Brain Kelly/ND situation, they signed him to a big contract extension right before the season started. Also, the Charlie Weis getting fired but having to pay him a lot of money for a long time situation is still fresh.
I could care less either way, but I wouldn't be shocked if Kelly gets another year.
Purdue fires Darrell Hazell. Add another house to the carousel.
Rumors of Les Miles to West Lafayette were popping up this morning before Hazell was fired. Would give them maybe the 4th best coach in the conference - Meyer, Harbaugh, Dantonio...

That'd be a huge hire for them, but I think Miles is gonna be that name that comes up again and again this year.
Dooley sighting during the Cowboys game. Still looks goofy.
There's a Wisconsin Badgers player named Garret Dooley, and while I was watching the wisc-osu game this morning Everytime they said his name I got bad flashbacks.

But where else does it make sense? Texas? FSU if Jimbo leaves for LSU? USC? Oregon? I can't really see any other jobs for him other than mid-level Big Ten jobs, which he should be OK with. He'd instantly make Purdue respectable and competitive, he's a recruiting dynamo (which the Boilers have lacked for a long time), and he's from Ohio and a Michigan guy obviously. The Boilers have to ante up and pay the man.
Meanwhile, rumors are that Jimbo is going to stay at FSU (after he was ready to leave for LSU last December), and that Tom Herman has eyes for the Texas job. Where does that leave LSU? With Coach O - and that's how a program with every advantage in the world sinks to mediocrity or worse. College football is 80% head coach and 15% quarterback.
An interesting thing I saw today was speculating about Kiffin to Oregon...

I saw an article today about him being a Kelly replacement if he, in fact, gets fired. Peppers does bring up an excellent point about Kelly's contract. I think Dooley got longer than he would have otherwise because his contract buyout was insane.
