did you notice it says "drinks all weekend" but doesn't specify alcohol? i'd hate to buy in and find that out down the road.
Think I might have bankrupted them by drinking John Dalys all weekend?
lmao Right! i would order those with a double absolute on top. good stuff. sunday i had like 9 subways sandys in my bag... those roadies come in handy.
Going to be a tough one at 11am. 2017 might of been the last hoo-rah
They didn't send me information so f them. Chances of me going to Hangout anyway are maybe 5%. I don't ever want to say never because it's a fun time. But it's so lineup dependent for me now, and I'm not optimistic they will make any headway in my favor. So if I went, I'd be stuck settling for average shit and looking toward that for best sets. The alternative is hoping they'd have enough rap, rock and jam for me to be interested along with EDM I'd want to see versus teeny bopper pap crap like Major Lazer, Marshmello and the like. I'm talking Pretty Lights, Gramatik, Big Wild, Opiuo, Manic Focus, Russ Liquid Test and acts that play instead of just hyping.

I am not a fan of VIP. The VIP at Doobie Brothers also included statements that you could drive a greyhound bus thru. I get it they need some flexibility but, offering broad statements and then delivering something someone was not anticipating like bud vs miller or vodka vs bourbon is a serious issue with me. Ditto doughnuts, fruit, and cookies for food. I thought GA was actually a better view and listening spot for performances at all venues. I have a pool at my condo. I was expecting a "shrimp boil", pizza, hot wings, and slider as in "finger food" and a selection of alcohol beyond wine and boat drinks. Very disappointed in Hangout VIP and let them know that. For those who like the food served and drinks, happy for you. But "food and drinks" is misleading as heck. I also understand the ladies wanting better VIP toilets. Not an issue with me.
Yes, those ticket prices are "out the door" with everything included. And I just got my confirmation.
For you Future Islands fans, they will be live streaming tomorrow morning from Rock Werchter. It shows the time at 15:55 so that's 3:55pm local Werchter time. Werchter is Central Daylight + 7 so 3:55pm - 7 hours is 8:55am Central if I can subtract properly.

Being able to drive a Greyhound bus is such an unusual VIP amenity. Honestly, I'm floored.
Halfway through the year. What's yalls best shows thus far?
I've got two fest to draw from in SXSW and Hangout. In less than a week Ill be doing a Umphreys > Gorillaz (w Vince Staples) > Lupe Fiasco run with ne215 which I assume all 3 should end up as best of the year sets. The Fall Fest run will probably bump almost all of these off the list.
1. Roots Jam @ 411 Congress Ave (SXSW) (feat Brandi, De La Soul, Shakey Graves, T.I, Rae Sremmurd, Method Man & Redman) 2. Weezer @ Surf Stage (Hangout Fest) 3. STS9 2 Nights @ ACL Moody Theatre 4. Lotus 2 Nights @ Emo's East 5. Future Islands @ Pandora House (SXSW) 6. Cage The Elepahnt @ ACL Moody Theatre 7. !!! (chkchkchk) 2 Nights @ Pandora House & Maggie Mae's (SXSW) 8. Umphreys McGee @ Stubbs 9. Mutemath @ Main Stage (Hangout Fest) 10. Los Coast @ C-Boys
I graduated from college and started my first actual job this year, so I've been slacking on concerts/festivals in general. But I'm making up for that with Metallica, Macca, and maybe Roger Waters all in the next week and a half. Seeing Radiohead open their tour in Miami back in March was pretty fucking fantastic too, but that's the only show I've been to all year.

As in broad statements that have a lot of room for misunderstanding. Akin to needing a big wide street or highway to drive a big bus thru. Euphemisms are a southern thing....kinda like the terms "Yutes" and "Yoose guys" for folks from other areas of the country.

While probably perfect for Hangout, I've been trying to watch the Roakilde stream, and this is probably the least favorite live act I've ever seen stream. The singer is straight up bad. Musically I feel like I'm listening to an updated version of Haircut 100. I must be missing something but I really don't think I'd see them for free.

I'm from Knoxville, brotha. Just giving you a hard time. I hope you've realized that by now.

I love Jagwar Ma. I saw them in the winter for the first time and it was great and I thought they killed it on the Coachella live stream. Did they play a day time set? I feel like it connects better at night with their production and the vibe they create

No. It was night. Big light show and decent keyboard mix guy and drummer but it kept up as dance pop. It felt teeny bopper like I said. I gutted out some more of it, but to me it was poppier than even Fun of Foster the People. Who knows?
