I generally don't mind it and usually play along (because it CAN be funny), but being the butt of the same joke all the time is getting old, especially considering that for some people I'm sure there's a bit of truth behind it. It's starting to not feel good. If we could scale back the frequency a bit I'd appreciate it.
And don't worry Davey-poo I still love you.
If I ever question your musical taste or judgment, just remind yourself ive spent probably thousands of dollars to travel the USA to noodle dance at widespread panic.

This album far exceeded my expectations, I haven't been able to stop listening to this and Spoon! Was a tossup between the two for me, but The Shins are one of my favorite bands, and this is becoming one of my favorites by them alongside Wincing the Night Away.
Besides Spoon my HMs are WHY?, Charli XCX, Temples, Methyl Ethel, & Phantoms.
Perhaps I'm swayed by the topical relevance and beautiful vinyl packaging, including a well put together playbill. Others from this month I'll be returning to include Spoon, Conor Oberst, and Craig Finn. The new Julia Holter live album is wonderful and makes me want to catch one of her shows soon. I also enjoyed Yaeji, Laura Marling, and Valerie June. I didn't like the new Shins as much as Port Of Morrow. 2017 quality new releases are really picking up after what was a slow start.

I am in such a musical happy place right now. Going to see Radiohead tomorrow, Father John Misty's Pure Comedy comes out in five days, and maybe a surprise Kendrick next week, too.

This month I dove in way deeper than the last two months, as I had much more free time and none of my favorite artists released anything. I liked a lot of stuff, but this kept going through my headphones more than anything else, not to mention it's really fun.
HM: Mountain Bike, Sleaford Mods, Janka Nabay, Tennis, Jay Som. Mount Eerie was of course really good but definitely not what I needed at this time in my life.
Unless it really sucks, I don't see anything taking my vote from Gorillaz this month.
none of the tracks that they've put out have made me very thrilled for the New Pornographers record
technically we don't know if we're actually getting a Kendrick album yet
Joey Bada$$ could be good. B4.DA.$$ was solid.
Gorillaz, White Reaper, Feist, and Mark Lanegan I'm cautiously optimistic about, but I know that at least one of them is going to be a disappointment. that's just the law of averages.
the notion that anything other than Kendrick would compete for AotY is worthy of the hardest side-eye I can muster, though

HM: Saltland - A Common Truth Hauschka - What If? Pile - A Hairshirt Of Purpose Brooklyn Youth Chorus - Black Mountain Songs Aimee Mann- Mental Illness Pallbearer - Heartless Sorority Noise - You're Not As ____ As You Think
Pure Comedy is getting pretty universal praise already. It's sitting at a 94 on Metacritic for what that's worth. It's my early favorite for the month based solely on the singles, specifically Ballard of the Dying Man and the title track. Also, a few songs from the 25 minute hype video for the album are going to be amazing.
