Flight Facilities posted about a new live show they're creating for next year. They'd make sense for this if they're not touring Europe at the time instead.

Fun Fact: I was right at the front for them in 2014 and caught the t-shirt they threw out. Owl Eyes is gorgeous in person.
Saw Fly Lo subheadline for Radiohead at ACL 2015. He was drunk as fuck and barely played any music, due to it being his birthday and, probably moreso, the Trump pussy-grabbing tape had just come out an hour or so before. Genuinely one of the worst live music experiences I've ever had, followed by probably the single best.
It sorta went beyond him just being pissed about Trump, too. He was saying shit like "where my white people at?" And "hey, look, there's a little Asian guy right there!" It was pretty gross.
It was also Thom's birthday, and Fly Lo asked us to sing Happy Birthday to Thom when he came out, so that was nice at least.
Anyone have experience with VRBO for Coachella? I've used it a ton for Hangout in the past but we're already looking into it for Coach 2019 and VRBO will let you request a place this early and there are some very nice villas right along the shuttle route that are super reasonable. Just wondering if it's worth it or if others have had people cancel on them once Coachella's announced.
I've seen FlyLo three times - twice at fests and once at a Brainfeeder show - and left early twice and didn't really enjoy it the third time. Maybe just not for me, but I would enjoy it for 20-30 mins then it just felt repetitive each time.
His shows have evolved into more mellow, jazzy, psych stuff. If anyone saw him around 08-12, it was a completely different, more energetic experience (and a more fun show imo). The guy is a genius though and the new show is legit. I could see how he probably just got drunk and had fun given that he was opening up for Radiohead at acl. He was pretty wasted at Bonnaroo the first time, but I’ve always found that he’s coming from a good place even if he is a little “talky”.
The two most recent FlyLo shows that I have been to are easily my favorite electronic shows that I have ever been to; however, the first time I saw him, back in 2012, I absolutely dreaded it. It all just seemed like dissonant noises and nothing felt like it went together well, but I LOVE the shows he has been doing the last few years. It's just a matter of taste, I think.
My only problem with his shows is that he didn't do an encore after playing "Never Catch Me" at the show I went to a month ago. That's the song everyone goes craziest for. The energy goes way up, and 99% of the crowd want more. He did do an unplanned encore at Bonnaroo though after playing that song.
