Still putting my brain together after John Mayer played Continuum front to back last night. Just a stupid show at MSG. If you can catch one, even if it's the nosebleeds, go for it
someone tell me if i can make it to Snail Mail after Chem bros or crush my dreams and tell me it's not possible.
Snail Mail's openers start at 8, so let's say she comes on at 9:30... even then, by the time you get to Webster Hall from Forest Hills, her set will have ended.
Global Citizen Festival is September 28th in Central Park. Lineup comes out tomorrow
Lineup is out: Queen + Adam Lambert, Pharrell Williams, Alicia Keys, OneRepublic, H.E.R., and Carole King They definitely dialed back the lineup from last year's kidfest. I might hit it after skipping last year, it's a nice day in the park (usually) and I enjoy me some Queen karaoke.

It would be nice to see Queen for free in the park, but dont think it's worth waiting on line for 2 hours and then sitting through 5 hours of lectures.

If I couldn't do it for Beyonce, I'm not doing it for Queen + Adam Lambert

Oof. I skipped Global Citizen last year in favor of The National's thing at Forest Hills...this year, I think I'm just skipping it outright. Oh, for the days of Kendrick Lamar and Metallica.
Do you want to dance while also thinking about all the ways you've failed as a human?
UPCOMING SHOWS 5/14 - Neil Young & Crazy Horse @ Forest Hills 6/8 and maybe 6/9 - Governors Ball 8/17 - King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard @ Forest Hills 9/4 - Pearl Jam @ MSG 9/7 - Pearl Jam @ Wells Fargo Center 9/11 - St. Vincent @ Brooklyn Paramount
Yeah that Global Citizen festival lineup looks pretty thin. Can't imagine there are going to be a ton of people willing to stand for 6 hours and be lectured to see OneRepublic.

Sold on Parquet Court, Screaming Females, fucking DUNGEN, and Priests
Not super familiar with the rest, what do y'all recommend?
Also sold on this being at Knockdown not fucking Governor's Island
I'm a big Mogwai fan, but I'm not sure that's going to be for everybody - they're pretty classically "post-rock," and 99% instrumental. Their live shows are massive in a way that's not going to come across in video clips, but...
